A small part of me will never forgive Mat Rogers for going off with that injury he got in the final!

He picked up a pretty serious cork from memory and couldn't even run.

You honestly think we would of won if had a passenger out on the wing?

It was just one of those things that can happen in Rugby League.

As for everyone banging on about our team that year - I agree 100%. But don't forget about the team the Dragons had that year. Their squad of 25 was made up of 13 St George players and 12 Steelers from the year before. Not best team of all time, but 25 legitimate first graders. Something all teams would kill for these days. Not even the cheating Melbourne Storm last year had that much depth.

We were definately the best team that year and should of won the comp, but when you look at the Dragons squad that year it was a pretty unfair advantage. They were no where near the $3.25 million salary cap.

Yeah, but when's the last time you saw a player come off the field with a cork? Let alone in a final...

I was recently divorced and hoping this team would give me something to be happy about.

*sigh*

btw - McIntyre system screwed us. Didn't get a second chance.

We were in the preliminary final you cant give a team a second chance when playing to make the GF.

i can't believe Colin Best was in this team..

this was a golden time in my opinion, pity it was also the end of an era and the beginning of another, possibly fatal one..

if anyone wants to lay blame on the sharks current position, don't aim it at the fans.. just look back to the dragons game early in this year and the events that unfolded over the next 10 years

The fans should share the blame, there really aren't that many people in the shire who care about the sharks and that is why we can't make money.

let me word that different. The locals that SHOULD be fans but don't give a **** about their local team and support whoever is winning is what is killing us and also the fans that can't be bothered to go to the games.
