I know you can use the one you linked for both as I have snorkled and I swam while I was doing it.
Once you're breathing through a tube I think you are probably both swimming and snorkling, although in a pool the view not be very interesting.

I met him when I swam at an event with him a few years back. His wife had a stall at the event where she sold caffiene in a tube (like toothpaste) which was legit performance enhancing rocket fuel.
