i was watching this on sunday and was interested by the predictions each of the panel members had for the sharks. surprisingly, phil gould picked us the highest at 9th and Andrew Voss had us running 16th. Surely we cannot finish below the panthers or raiders? even the eels, rabbitohs and titans would be below us at the very least. shocking.

after watching all the games this weekend id say that if we dont finish in front of roosters,penrith,canberra and parramatta something has gone really wrong!
i wouldnt worry too much about "experts tips"!ive followed this club since 77 and i cant ever remember anyone rating us before the comp!

I watched that too. During the program Voss was at pains to point out that these were just opinions and that nobody should be offended etc. blah. But while he joked about some of the other tipsters being potentially friendless in the ACT after tipping the Raiders for the spoon, he sort of hurried through their tips for the Sharks and certainly never uttered his own dire prediction. Don't worry "Vossy" - it was noted.

yes i saw that too, after he spent about 10 mins telling ben ikin he has written of parramatta and the raiders, he definitely skimmed through the sharks preview.

I have noticed that too, not only footy show on channel nine, fox sports NRL and NRL Deluxe. They never make real comments and they move right along as fast as possible.
I don’t mind being predicted as what we are currently, every year it’s like that or something similar even when we were a top notch side.

Yeah we always seem to be the perpetual underdog, the commentators never want to know about us so hopefully we can slip under the radar and do some serious damage!

I don't see the bad side here. I'd much rather our team quietly go about their business under the new coach and forget about last years problems with no pressure whatsoever on them. Its a lot better than Ricky and the halves combo being under the microscope. Questions over whether Ricky walked into a Roosters outfit ready for premiership glory of if he's actually a decent coach. Pressure on Noddy and Dykes to perform and speculation on which one will have his contract torn up by June if things don't work out.

It could be a lot worse than having Andrew Voss think we're sh!t.
