Although he was a Cronulla junior, Kneen decided to make his grade debut in the Illawarra competition. It wasn't long before he made his mark in first grade with the Helensburgh club and from there the Sharks' talent scouts kept close tabs on him.
This season they decided he was ready for Sydney football and offered him a contract.
A rangy player, Kneen's speed and determination should see him go a long way in the game. Even though this is his first year with Cronulla, he has quickly forced his way into the top team with some outstanding performances against tough opposition.
