Better make it 6 changes .
Val

According to Fox Sports Stats he missed almost as many tackles (five) as he made (seven). Only ran 11 times for 66m in a disappointing performance.

With Wighton coming back for the next game I can't see Nicho being 18th man which is great for our game vs Storm.

I'm not a big fan of picking players out of position, but after the way he played in game 1 I'd happily have Wighton replace Stephen Crichton.
Problem is Wighton is a left sided only player, as is Burton. Latrell might be someone they could look to replace Crichton, but he's been predominantly left sided over the years as well.

You could throw him on the bench, but that means one of Cook or Api don't play.

Nice to have these options for game 3. Will be interesting to see how Latrell goes form wise over the next few weeks

... and he wasn't even 18th man. He was 19th I believe. Could be that they kept him with the team as cover for someone with an injury - or they spoke to the Cowboys and agreed that having him there on gameday was a good thing for his development (and possibly bank balance).
Yeah Rabbitohs wouldn't have minded Arrow staying as 19th man, they didn't have a game. He obviously then did end up the emergency.
I assume the decision to run Arrow as the emergency of Dearden was probably made sometime after he had already not played for Cowboys though.

Suaalii and Api both came out of blues squad to play that round and Hammer and Taulagi both played for Cowboys.
So evidence would suggest 1-18 (and maybe 19th man) won't play.

Last night showed again how important and crucial a good kicking game is, let alone how it took pressure off Cleary when Burton/Luai kicked

Solid tactics by Fittler

They had all the ball and momentum. Cleary's kicking game was garbage in game 1.

Because he was pressured all game when he was going to kick and it was easy because they knew he was the only one doing the kicking - game 2 they switched it up and QLD couldn’t manage

I don't think it's that simple mate, much easier to kick when the opposition is on the back foot.

Having someone like Burton in the centres is a massive luxury, **** I hope we can pull off a miracle and sign him.

Mate it helps a lot. Not being one dimensional and having 2 kickers.. that gameplan of pressuring the kicker away from a good kick is much harder to manage and keep up when there is two of them

It also helps take pressure off the kickers knowing they don’t have to organise the kick all the damn time

Yeah that's fair, having all momentum is a factor as well though.

Tell me about it. I coach a team with one primary kicker. If he gets tackled on the 5th we are rooted.

Not my choice btw. Plenty of other players are allowed to kick. They just either don’t want to, or don’t pay enough attention to the tackle count to be in the right position when they need to 😞
Sounds like the coach has lost the sheds mate.
