I don't bet on sports that I care about.

I just reckon that it messes up the purity and enjoyment of watching a sport for sport's sake and barracking for the team you want to win.

The overlay of a betting benefit has the real potential of divided loyalties.

That's just me

Vive la difference!

I don't really watch or follow other countries sports i.e
EPL, NFL ,baseball do they have where you bet on every single play like we can in the nrl.
With betting agency sponsoring teams with sport betting ads during ad breaks
Of the games.

Or is it more controlled?

EPL they do. Some grounds have the odds on the railings around the grounds. I don't believe the American sports do. They may have a law against it.

It's a form of advertising and a preferable one to reality TV, junk food and a lot of other things. That's coming from someone that never gambles.

I'm sick of the wowser culture in Australia.

If we're going to have advertising at all then gambling has as much right as anything else. It gives our game money and only the dumbest ****s in the world actually get 'addicted' to it.

Could say the same thing about tobacco advertising.

Feel a bit sorry for Waterhouse even though hes an annoying dick. The backlash from all corners is pretty overwhelming

I don't bet on the sport that much aside from the occasional first try scorers.

But to be honest i don't really care either way with the ads/gaming in sport.

Probably because i don't have kids asking me what this is what that is etc.

I don't really think it detracts from the enjoyment personally. But at the same time i'm not interested in the odd fluctuations.

Yeah that was ****. Last year the league and broadcasters had already been told to settle the **** down with its broadcasting of odds during games or the government would step in with some kind of watchdog. Then they pulled this ****?? Then again, Channel 9 is up the ****, it's unsurprising that they'd do anything for a buck.
