LCI Partners, one of the leading business advisory firms in New South Wales, serving over 2,500 clients across Australia and New Zealand, has aligned with the Sharks.

Founded over 30 years ago and with office offices throughout Sydney, LCI Partners becomes the Official Sharks Membership Partner ahead of the kick-off to the 2021 season.

....

The new arrangement, which is for one season with an eye to extending the partnership into the future, will see LCI Partners offer advice and financial solutions, mortgage reviews and a five-minute financial health check to the Sharks membership base.

Ben Ross, Sharks Membership manager, revealed LCI Partners were also set to look after the Club’s 2021 members in another way, providing free scarfs to seated/ticketed members to help keep them warm during the cold winter months.

I'm a little confused with the deal with LCI Partners. Nowhere in the presser is sponsorship mentioned. They are referred to as 'the Official Sharks Membership Partner' so what is the benefit to the club, other than giving ticketed members a free scarf advertising LCI PARTNERS.

I can see lots of benefits for LCI, apart from having their ****ty scarf with it's tiny Sharks logo waved at games, such as having access to our membership base to advertise their services.

I may be old and cynical so could someone please explain to me the benefits to our club from this 'partnership'. If this is the BIG announcement we have been waiting for, I personally am grossly under-whelmed.

I followed a discussion and posted this in the Rumour Mill. I think it's more appropriate in this thread.

This is an interesting one. I would have thought fans would rather wear a Sharks' scarf than one with the name of a company on it in big, bold letters.

Of anyone, we should never feel underwhelmed about a new sponsor.

Welcome aboard scarf lords

Doesn't sound as though we're getting cash from them unless I read the article incorrectly.

Sounds as though they're providing free/cheap services to certain groups of members?

If a business is funding a merchandise run, its still sponsorship. Its either from their pocket or ours.

I remember oporto doing a few things. Merch pack sponsor, vouchers, game day sponsors also and were supplying the players with recovery feeds post game i think
