Sydney FC looked tremendous in the Australia Cup today. Feeling more optimistic for the season ahead, some of these younger players are looking very promising.

England 1 (Watkins 57th min) Australia 0

I’m not too down after that game. Australia played really well, just one defensive mistakes costs them in the end and they came inches away from equalising on quite a few occasions, just couldn’t put it in. Very solid otherwise.

Just a heads up, Australia World Cup Qualifier against Palestine next month has been moved to Algeria for….. obvious reasons.

Scratch that. The AFC have knocked Algeria back due to concerns about facilities, player welfare and the fact they’re not an AFC nation (ridiculous reason). Palestine now have until 25/10 to nominate a neutral venue within the AFC.

I'm looking forward to the Matilda's next week. Ridiculous that two of the games are 10pm eastern time, pretty much rules out kids watching. Way to kill world cup momentum.

Kuwait is looking likely.

It finished only 2-0 but the Tillies definitely should of had 5 or 6 more to be honest. That was one way traffic.
