Good to see the two Lukes (Varney & Murphy) on the scoresheet straight away.
It's great to start off with a win, now for the midweek League Cup tie at ER against Chesterfield on Wednesday night (Thursday morning).
Ah yes, Chesterfield on a Wednesday night... Such a big game (and a bit of a far cry from the bright lights of a few years back)...at least it's at home.
As for last weeks game, I need to check, but didn't Ross McCormack score? Varney was the other I'm sure...
Yeah it was McCormack...in front of 33,000 at ER...up 10,000from last year...they really did hate Ken Bates!

Bates was dividing our club apart.
The fanbase was effectively split into camps one pro Bates and one anti Bates.
The ones that were anti Bates refused to attend matches as they didn't want to line Bates' pockets so to speak.
I didn't like Bates myself but I will acknowledge the fact he helped save us from the brink of oblivion when no one was stepping up to the plate to help us.

Some last minute of the season drama in the championship. Birmingham goal at bolton to stay up means Doncaster relegated and brighton beat Nottingham forest in the last minute to get into the playoffs at reading's expense.

Lol reading fans thought they made it and were all on the pitch when brighton scored.
Rovers just 1 point out of playoffs - all the games we dropped stupid points are gunna give me nightmares. 3 times we lead 3-1 to concede goals and draw :-(

Anyone know if the the promotion game of QPR v Derby will be on SBS? I can't imagine there'd be a bigger game than this in the UK? So much on the line, surely would mean more than a GF here?

Any championship games shown on tv in aus are on setanta. Blackburn aren't playing in this game this year so not really interested in watching

i was chattin with a rovers fan last night, he was gutted they missed the playoff section on goal difference... made my night
