I noticed that the TV commentators last night were using the words 'former Souths player' quite a bit.

Its only been 5 years since he was at Souths... not to mention a grand total of 11 games across 2 years.

Unless I'm mistaken, looks like 50 NRL games for Talakai next week.

I heard they used to free up a truck by hitching a trailer to him… others would run alongside (DCE style) loading him up
Back in old days the other garbos would jump on Talakai as he ran to the next street

this one had me in stitches coming across this in the socials this morning
In reality in terms of height it’s other way around but a great glimpse into what it looked/felt like to Harper.

In fairness to Harper he’s strung some decent games together at times when Manly going well but he’s a bit of a pleb. DCE is a long term rep player and just jogged alongside Talakai for one try hoping for the best, didn’t even try tackle him. That’s even worse and he got to stay on.

Harper is OK with ball in hand but he's a train wreck in defence and always has been.

That whole side (DCE, Harper, Saab) has been a train wreck in defense this year.

When was the last time we had a player in this kind of form? Maybe Barba in 16? The last 3 weeks this bloke has deadset been one of if not the best player in the NRL.
