Awesome decoy for Will's try, that needs to happen more often.

On the flipside Hiku ran around him for that try and he ain't fast.
He's fast enough with great hands
Just not latterly explosive and got burnt on that play.
No doubt opposing sides centres sheeet themselves opposing him
Then again you could replace him with Conner Tracey.
That would REALLY send shivers down opposition

Probably better off having this guy in the 2nd row rather then in the centres. Without a doubt we've got to keep him in the 17 but better off in the 2nd row next season. The opposition make a half break, Tracey probably has more chance getting them down on the outside then he does.

He hasn't been burnt on the outside much if at all this season prior to tonight but I am open to an alternative centre next season (not tracey, mayyyyybe Ikavalu)... Talakai works so hard might have been a bit of fatigue in that miss

Most disappointing thing is that after the best part of a season we still havn't found a way to take advantage of an entire opposition edge marking up on him and tackling him every run. Maybe we did on that cut out pass to Ronnie for the first Kennedy try but we don't see alot of that anymore and there was already space out wide

It sucks because it was bad to get outpaced like that but we still had 2 chances to cover it, but Ronnie and Kennedy both arm grabbed. Even the best will get burned every so often.

all centres will get burnt on the outside at some stage. wasnt it like 15-20 metres to his inside man and one hell of a pass from jt that nobody would have expected

Hiku might be considered kinda average but he has actually played pretty well for the Cows this year and scored some good trys

If Sifa was worried about being stepped back onto his inside by Hiku (while Sifa waiting for Sharks cover) then that hesitation/doubt was enough to put him at a disadvantage against the ball carrier that was looking to go around him on the outside

Hiku does a bit of a step which had Sifa move slightly inside and get flat footed while Ronnie was trying to cover his winger until the last moment

Moylan tried to get across from the middle of the field but was too far away

Interesting that Hiku is only 29, thought the bloke had been playing for ages and was well into his 30's lol has an old face

For all the talk of Sifa being slow laterally it has rarely caused us a problem and that was a tough play to defend for Sifa with gaps on his inside and outside

My call for for him to be moved into the forwards has nothing to do with Hiku

the call to move him into the forwards will be legit when we have a better centre than him

atm, we dont, so he has to stay there and do a job
We only get a better centre than him if coach wants to move him back to the forwards. If he doesn’t, he doesn’t go looking for a better centre.

No one knows. I’m replying to the comments of people saying we need a better player to relate Talakai if we are going to move him to the forwards.
But your implying Fitz wants to keep him in the centres long term, there's no evidence of that.
