Probably in everyone's best interest if they can get a decent trade player out of it for an early release.
As much as Galvin very much looks like the bad guy right now he's an impressionable dumb kid (if things are as presented) but good to watch on a footy field. Get him playing somewhere else but Tigers should hold out for fair compensation and he can take his lack of faith to reserves/flegg until then.

With this much noise do we assume, like you say, a competent club isn't on the other end. So...

Brown to Newy, Galvin to Eels, ??? from Newy to Tigers?
Not sure what that trade could be though - Lucas maybe?
I'm sure Tigers would be happy to swap Galvin for DCE.

Brooks had his best season as a 7 playing next to a fairly ball dominant 6 (Benji Marshall funnily enough), so maybe it could work. Brooks plays 7 but basically the same as he was playing now/then. Just gets people around the park and kicks. Galvin can be running around being the star. Happy it's not my clubs halves pairing, but could work.

The Tigers still have another ace up their sleeve to keep Galvin in-line

Instead of playing him in reserves just name him in the 18 for FG grade every week, bloke will barely play any football for the next 2 years first grade or cup and if he does become an injury replacement he will be so rusty it might not be the best marketing for him lol

I think the only problem with this is that the 18th man would still be heavily involved in training with thr FG team.

By all accounts, his team mates want nothing to do with him.

What a poor situation his management has put him through. How is this in their clients best interests?

Gus is not going to pay a 19-year-old $1 million per season. The way his agent has played this out has made Galvin’s position at the Tigers untenable, if not for this season, definitely for 2026. The Tigers have another kid who they rate very highly who is injured at the moment, but I don’t think it is a long-term injury. Galvin’s team has to be positioning for an early release. I can’t imagine they have gone all–in without looking at their cards first. Something must be lined up for 2026 and beyond.

I don’t know what the Tigers are paying Galvin but if it is low enough that they can wear playing him in reserves until the end of the 2026 season, unless he is needed, I hope they do that.
Apparently only 250k. **** him, I hope they screw him over.

He might have attitude problems that don't endear him with his teammates, but his entourage didn't help him here. At 19, no way he knows what the best course of action is in those circumstances. His focus is footy and nothing else.
Instead the people he trusts, the people who should be guiding him have dropped around his neck an anchor that says 'Trouble'.

This guy and his manager have gone about this all wrong. But guys like Turuva etc making public shots at him, thats just gunna end up badly for them. The guy will end up getting an immediate release on mental health grounds, then sign instantly with someone else.

The tigers need to put him in Reggies, call him up if needed. Dont entertain a release but put all other players in the club on notice to not be dicks to him, for fear or legal action. Cos you know Isaac Moses would be licking his lips

Yeh agree. Need to ensure it doesn't result in a mental health claim. Could get very ugly.

Wont happen, but as a collective, ALL NRL clubs should get together & say let’s all be strong & equal on this, for off contract players, managed by Moses, nobody touches.
Pre warn players, moving forward, we are going in a different direction with player retention, if you would like to explore other management options we would be really open to having a discussion.

I like it. Manly and Dragons are screwed as their coach has the same manager!

Yeh, legally, dunno if it can happen, clubs shouldnt make threats or demands but just say in a nice way, we’d love to chat with you but not interested in working with ‘bodies’ that don’t align with our business ethics.
Politis, by all reports has given Moses or his playing stable a wide birth.
