Wow didn’t expect that this time of year. What an absolute warrior of a player. Always rated him and loved how he went about his game. Huge loss for the Wahs. Will free up a decent chunk of change you’d imagine so expecting to them to be pretty active as of now trying to secure another middle to their roster.

According to zero tackle, Tohu Harris was set to earn 950k this season.

Well he'll still get it potentially depending on why he retired ie medical etc. I can only imagine he started the pre season with the best intentions and came back from the break thinking he can't do it anymore.

Hard to imagine he'd throw away that sort of money.

Also huge overs for him at his age and output, great career though.

Would guess that the body hasn't responded well to pre-season and he made the call, has always seemed an unselfish bloke.

They have some really talented juniors coming through; couple probably ready for NRL but the one I like the most is probably still couple years away; Selumiela Halasima.

shame he has to go out like that but he was spending more time off the paddock than on it. better person than he is a player much respect. they'll find him something to do within the club

now the wahs will have a much better rotation and mongrel with d.walker and clarke at lock tho

Yeah I would say the wrist is the last of a long line of injuries , so would probably satisfy the insurers .
You get the feeling the old ‘ general soreness ‘ was getting harder and harder to overcome .

Finucane was medically retired and we weren't sure if we would get anything back onto cap for him for that season (but knew we would for this year) per Riccio. I don't recall seeing/hearing a resolution to that.
So can't say for sure if they'll have the money or not.

in my head it'd make sense that the club would still have to honour the money owed with the contract, yet it would still open up cap space if the club have money to spend in filling that spot?
