Maybe the troll is talking about the hooker and not the coach lol.

Anyways I really like the clarity and honesty Irvine brings to interviews it's refreshing and what the club needs. He doesn't dance around the questions - he flat out says we want Birdy back, the club made a mistake. Also great to hear him talk about players being apart of a family and will be stuck by no matter what. Would hate to lose some of our young guys over some random incident. There's always gunna be stuff ups with footy players regardless of the programs in place.

Matuia was the correct decision to let go - cause he was a dud performer if nothing else.

That's the thing no one really cares or remembers a club because they did the "ethical" thing. But history will remeber us not beating Melbourne in that final. I relise the Sharks image was up the creek at the time but perception doesn't win you premierships alone but quaility players sure can.

For the record we were crap across the park that night at the SFS and having Bird or even Seymour in there I doubt would have changed the outcome but it would sure be nice to still have those players on our books in the years that followed.

I do hope the NRL establish some sort of body to take these matters out of clubs hands and do the right and fair thing by all clubs.

I am a little mixed on this as I support the moral stand the club made to suspend Bird (under the unprecedented 2009 cicumstances), Maitua (obviously) and Seymour (a repeat deadbeat).

However I fully appreciate Irvine's point of who did it punish. It only punished the club so such strong action does not work. I also now support the Independent Commission solving these matters as the NRL will come over the top of a club's sanctions anyway if it doesn't like them.

So even though I am reluctant to blame the club for the previous decisions it handled, I certainly support the one it is making now with Albert.

Thing is we've been the sole club taking a zero tolerance approach only for other clubs to benefit.

Giving Bird,Seymour etc. the ass set us back years and we're only starting to recover.

The fact that the Titans were able to benefit from us doing what we thought was best for the club's image still sickens me.

I think the club has made the right decision not to take any action against AK and just let justice take its course.

read the comment at the bottom

That guy is a deadset clown.

Flanno is a good coach and I think he is proving that this season.

The fact that he has figured out how to get the best out of players shows the club made the right choice to elevate him to head coach.

Not many coaches bar Ricky in 2008 has got the best out of our players in recent years.
