pretty sure both bukuya and filiga played reserves (instead of 20s) before getting a run in first grade so could well be the case, especially for stapleton whose biggest weakness was a tendancy to be a bit soft

I thought Bukuya still had his leg in plaster and was out till round 13

SOS, just a quick question.. Do you think Goodwin still has a while before he gets his fitness up and is ready for 1st grade?? Or is he pretty much ready to play 1st grade again?

Also.. was goodwin the sort of fullback that would be there in support for a offload and then run it??

Cheers, man.

I was there and here is my take on the game .
Goodwin went good ,Missi well thats him i dont like him but he took us forward out of dummy half which we are missing in the first .Jess Gaine went good ,Green thats his spot TC plays for himself it looks like he kicks and runs and dose not tell any body what he is doing .Selmes is to big and slow , Verlinden gee i don't now he went good but i hope he dont get tested for roids :D Millo was really solid and if he isnt better value than Norrie or that big fat heap Donnelly i will stop drinking and thats a big statement for an old 53 year old bloke that loves a vb :drunk

goodwin was gud and and i personally orcher is alot better in backing up looking for the offload than goodwin but goodwin could play first grade in a couple of week. talked to him after the game he said he is ahappy to be back. Millo cant wait to get a call up. was good to see supporters there especially the sharks big flags and big jersey aswell. and the boys really appreciated that support. verlinden has been in good form. Selmes has been good go forward but simple errors cost him as has a few niggling injuries for him

SOS, how did Mannah and Stapleton go? Did they start and what position was Stapo playing?

We need an impact front rower. If Selmes is not going to step up then maybe this Verlinden is the answer. Interesting to hear he was talking to Ricky. Anyone has got to be better than Donnelly, who comes off the bench and has less impact then the bloke he just replaced!
