This week sees the Sharks NYC team take on Manly.

The game is set down for 5:15pm at Toyota Stadium on Saturday 18th July.

This game for the sharks team is a real david/goliath battle as it sees first vs last. The sharks team will look to restore some pride back into their season with a win over the competition front runners Manly. This game also sees the return of Ben Orcher to the NYC on the bench.

While the Manly side will look to continue their dominance on the toyota cup with a victory over a sharks team struggling for confidence.

Make sure all you sharks fans get out there earlier and cheer and give your support to the NYC squad.

This weeks line up is:

1. Cass Aiga
2. Daniel Perkins
3. Josh Toole
4. Ricky Leutele
5. Joe Roqoko
6. Jason McGrady
7. Chad Townsend
8. Jake Anlezark
9. Lancen Joudo
10. Liam Wesley

yes the boys were unlucky they tried very hard but in the end a charge-down on a field goal attempt was the difference.

They played very well was one of their best games all year, i thought orcher looked dangerous with the ball and our backs finished off tries well.
Chad Townsend goal kicking was brillant, i think we found a replacement goal kicker when he makes first grade.

bukuya back as sharks go down by 1

The 20's sharks went down on the weekend 25-24 after trailing 13-12 at the break.
Jason Bukuya returned in what was a spirited performance, where most people were guessing the 1st placed eagles would thrash the last placed sharks.
It was the sharks that crossed first thanks to daniel perkins in the 15th min after a great backline movement. chad townsend didnt miss with the conversion from the sideline.
then manly hit back with 2 tries in 5 minutes and thing could have gotten ugly for the sharks like it has gone in the previous few weeks.
Andrew Madden crossed for a well earned try after powering threw 4 defenders to plant it down. Townsend kicked it and it appeared it was going to be 12 all at half time until and error from the young sharks allowed manly to escape with what turned out to be the winner.

The young boys fought hard in the 2nd half with tries to Ben orcher on return to the 20's and daniel perkins picked up his second but it was that field goal that got em the game.

Congratulations Cronulla

It was first versus last with a form line pointing at an awfully lopsided result.

Cronulla - on an 11-game losing streak, undermanned, off a 56-10 belting by North Queensland and with a points differential of -264.

Manly - on a 7-game unbeaten run, careering towards the minor premiership, and off a 33-6 shutdown of second placed St George Illawarra.

Luckily for fans of the underdog, sport doesn't always follow the script.

Manly led 13-12 at halftime and won 25-24 as each side scored four converted tries. The difference was a fantastic 40m field goal from Daly Cherry Evans just before halftime.

Both sides completed their sets at about 90 percent and the Sharks might even consider themselves unlucky as they won the linebreaks 6-2 and missed tackle count 17-44.

The Sharks were paying $15 for the win and Manly $1.01.

Cronulla had been give a 30.5 start with TAB Sportsbet when really they only needed one!

It cost one punter who had $60,000 on Manly to win by more than 30.5 at $1.90 as part of several multis.
