It's expected in the first set. Everyone is fresh and the impact doesn't last.

In the 60th minute, I would suggest the impact on a body would be far worse and far more intimidating.

Sprinting to the front at the start of a marathon does not intimidate or demoralise your opponents, but cruising past them at the 35th km certainly does.
