Time to put some points on the board! I can feel it! Looks like a heaps more complete team with Bird at lock

I think it was 2, unless he fought the charge.

Anyone think Bird will play the full 80?

Or off the bench?

I'll be at this game in the Peter Burns stand - Bay 26. Can't wait to be there! Hopefully the Sharks will click into gear and we give them a hiding.

I think De Gois took the early plea and was free to play.

yer that would be great for our For & Against differential. Though Im just hoping for the win personally. I can't really remember the last team we gave it to.

this might sound silly, but at least we are like the only team who has a had a steady line up all year... we might not be winning games by much... but be it 1 point or 18 a wins a win and i think we should all be thankful that we have been doing so well, this week i believe will be the week whether our boys will prove they got wat it takes to go all the way or whether we'll be knocked out early... i think they will prove themselves worthy and i think that we should back our boys 100% im sorry for tha long comment but i see a lot of ney saying even if we win... lets just put all our support behind them and see what happens

Warren Smith's round 22 preview

August 06, 2008

WITH the finals just around the corner, the battle is heating up in the race for the top 8. Fox Sports' Warren Smith takes an inside look at all the round 22 action.

<EDITED>

Sharks v Rabbitohs

The Sharks are making a habit of winning the tight ones they managed to lose last season, although I still don’t know how they got out of jail last week against the Dragons.

I like the Sharks for this one. They’re at home again and Greg Bird’s back. No doubt he’ll be ready to build on last week’s performance.

Brett Kimmorley has proven he’s a leader. Not everyone’s a fan of his play, and I think sometimes you have to put Sharks’ coach Ricky Stuart in that category, but he’s a proven winner and I think he’ll get them over the line this week.

The Rabbitohs have some strike-power in Sandow, Luke and Wing, but even a Sharks side struggling to score points should be good enough to get the job done at home.

As long as we win, it doesn't matter how much it's by! I don't think there is enough time left in the season to really improve our for and against by as much as we would need to to get past the Roosters, Storm or Manly, so we just have to keep winning and hope for some good results in other games.
I think it would be dangerous for the Sharks to go out with the attitude "we're going to towel up the Bunnies". Every time we seem to do this we get beaten eg: Bulldogs, Penrith, Tigers and the Bunnies nearly knocked us off last time out! For some reason, when the Sharks try to focus on their attack, their defence goes out the window. So I hope they just stick with what works, grind out another win and get ready for next week!!
