I got a six pack of it the other weekend. It wasn't too bad. (But then the other stuff I was drinking included goon ;))

you cant afford to drink the stuff at the ground at 6 bucks for a plastic cup...not for this black duck ...ill have a couple across the road at the leagues club before I go in.

I think stadium beer prices are probably uniformly high the world over, you pay $6 for a plastic cup or plastic bottle over here as well. But in general yeah, the beer is a fair bit cheaper over here, especially at bottle shops and supermarkets. Sometimes in the supermarket you'll see a dozen bottles for as little as $10, usually some cheap Dutch brand such as Hollandia or Bavaria.

not in the shire anymore :(
I think I had Hollandia at my year 12 formal. I was stoked because I'm half Dutch, so there was a bit of dutch pride (and some dutch courage) going on there as well

Yeah the Hollandia is not actually that bad, a little on the sweet side perhaps but still dangerously drinkable at that price!:drunk

I bought some Hollandia one night where I was a little short on money. I got drunk off that (as well as bludging the good drinks of my friends) and went to bed, leaving a full bottle open on the kitchen counter. The chicks whose house I was staying at got up in the morning, took one whiff of the open bottle, and started screaming demanding to know who pissed in the bottle. I was only able to convince her it was actually beer by taking a sip.

Quite a funny memory.
