6-4 to Dragons at half time. Stonestreet scored just before half time after nice work by Dykes…. Though those two let the Dragons winger in for the first try.

Not a hugely impressive half, but generally good defence.

Tuku looked the best playing 30+ minutes.

Dykes dropped a bomb, and makes no metres on kick returns, but good when attacking their try line.

Stonestreet does the things he does well, but super lazy with kick chases etc. I think he needs a crowd

Sharks ahead 16-6.

Try to Cook under the posts after a break by Magoulias (I think).

Hiroti scores and converts after Rodwell’s kick chase forces a mistake from the Drags.

Good win in the end, 26-10. think Tuku and Royce and our hookers just wore them out in the end, and lots of gaps appeared. Burns also good. Sure there were plenty of others I don’t recognise as well too.

Tuku played big minutes again in the second half and would be my man of the match

Highlights from Saturday.

  • Flimsy defence from Dykes on the first try, and Stonestreet in no mans land
  • Dykes and Stonestreet redeem themselves for our first try
  • Nice interchange by Cook and Khaled Rajab for Cook's try

We just signed this guy and he played already?

Impressive, to be able to slot right in

Yeah he played well, some good long range kicks, and quite involved. Reading that Kennel thread, he obviously has weaknesses too though.

While he’s just a Newtown player, you wonder if the Sharks have input into it.

Could join the Sharks Lebanese All Stars team of Hassan Saleh and (I assume) Charlie Saab

Edit: also Gabrael and Lichaa. I wonder if the recruitment came via Gabrael from their time at the Dogs.

Hopefully not a reflection of expecting no trindall for an extended period

Could be, but also Atkinson has been18th man a bit, and you dont expect that to change when Trindall comes back, and depending on the timing it typically means he wont play for the Jets.

So could be they're improving their halves given Atkinson might not play that many games.

I actually think he's a very good nsw cup player, so will be good for the Jets.
