Yea i guess what with the location it's to be expected but a few times last year the wait was shocking, doesn't help the cops usually block off at the roundabout and force people down into Cronulla or up Woolooware Rd.

Not sure why they do that exactly? Probably a valid reason but it seems stupid to me.

Good luck getting in and out of games in a timely manner once this is all done, bad enough as it is lol

What do you mean by "timely" - a throng of spritely, glowing unicorns picking you up from your seat and instantly delivering you to your desired location?

If you think the exit times at Shark Park are unacceptable, you're seriously off your nut.

Good luck to you.

I believe that already happens for the privelleged in the Upper ET.

On game day?

maybe because post game you get 10,000 people walking on the road. Its a safety thing.

Thats what i was thinking Fitz. even when im parked all the way round near Snowmans house which can happen if you dont get there early enough, its still like 10-15 minutes walk from the ground to car.....In fact, the biggest hold up you would have was when we'd park on the fields next to the ground and be ushered out by police. Could sit in the car for 30 minutes......but what do you know, a major sporting event and there is slight delays

I wouldn't call a 12-14k crowd a major sporting event but I agree with the rest, it's not that bad getting out.

its major in the scheme of the things. In comparison to a local soccer game or netball game or something i mean.

and lets face it, you can getting waiting bayed in a mcdonalds drive through for longer than youll wait to get out of a game

It's still hard when you have to get around Rothfield. Takes up a lot of space. Then you want to hang around and punch the guy but then you think better of it. So by that time, it has taken a while to get out of the stand let alone the ground.

I heard someone punch Rothfield once and has a permanent relish stain on their knuckles

"Sutherland Shire Council is urging an application for 222 apartments above the shopping centre in the Cronulla Sharks development be rejected.

The council said the proposal would have an unacceptable impact through additional traffic and overflow parking into adjoining sporting field car parks, which were already suffering from stage one of the project."
It suggested developer Capital Bluestone fund a major community project, such as a cycleway to the Greenshills sporting complex or renewing the Caringbah aquatic centre.

The report said, with stage one of the development occupied, there was “already an acute parking problem on site and in the local area”.

“New residents are experiencing difficulty finding sufficient parking and are impacting the users of adjacent sporting facilities,” it said.

“Council has had to gate off nearby public parking areas and is contemplating installing signs to time limit public parking, which will further frustrate new residents.”

“Stages two and three of the residential development are yet to be completed and will inevitably worsen the problem once occupied.”

bad luck to the new residents. Now They have wrecked it by parking in the soccer / league grounds.
They knew when they brought their apartments that the parking was very limited.
