Who would you like to be our halves for 2011?

This will be broken into 2 threads:

1st with the halves available and 2nd for who plays 1/2 and 5/8.

The top 3 halves from the first poll will go through for the positional poll.

Kelly and Graham. Smith lacks toughness, speed and defence. I think with time in first grade Kelly can offer just as much as Smith does kicking and passing with the added x-factor or his running game. I have a soft spot for Peachey as well. I'd love to see him get a run at some stage this year.

Graham and Kelly for me, Graham has great organisational skills and is a very mature player for someone his age. Where as Kelly has an instinctive dangerous running game that we have lacked in our halves since we lost Campbell in the dreaded Anderson days.

I think these two given time and patience will easy be our best halves pairing. For me I think we would be better off going with these guys from round one rather then giving Smith another chance.

It's a line ball between Smith and Kelly. Both possess a similar sort of game but Kelly does have the X factor. Really depends, I would prefer Kelly and Graham because it's a halves combination we can have for the next 10 years. If Smith can play like he should, he should be there though.

Adding: If you also start off with Kelly and Graham you have to give them time to gel. Because it will happen.

This is the major thing about why we need to get it right from the start IMO because whoever partners Graham in the halves will need time to gel Smith or Kelly. By the time the halves have got their combination going if one of them needs to be dropped we will have to go through the gelling all over again and it could leave us short.

I went for Graham Kelly halves combo. But i see Smith getting the nod with Graham

I keep comiong back to the question, has anyone seen the boys train??? That will give us an indication of positional players, and who's playing what!

Good halves need to possess a running and passing game. Look at Mortimer from parra, he's a runner and now has started to struggle after all the wraps. Both Graham and Kelly can pass and run. If Townsend moves more with the ball in hand he should be next in line after the other two.

So...

Tim Smith must be pretty good if he's keeping a NSW Origin Development Squad player out of the team. What depth we have!

Im hoping for a kelly and graham combo. im thinking it will either be a big failure or an absolute success.you can play it safe and opt for smith but the kelly graham combo could be a master stroke in time. Just my opinion and i am biased
