Don't be surprised if former Australian fast bowler Stuart Clark emerges as a front-runner for the soon-to-be vacant Cronulla Sharks CEO job. Clark is highly regarded for his work as general manager of the Sydney Sixers, steering them to victory in the inaugural tournament. He lives in the Shire and is a lifelong supporter of the club. He was originally approached to stand for the board. Former Broncos boss Bruno Cullen is expected to go within the next month.

Can any of the Sydney Sizes play in halfback, centre or wing ??? Perhaps Steve Smith, David Warner or Brad Haddin?

What's with all these random sportsman wanting management positions in the Club??

Because they took measures to ensure employment after sport. Hence why they are capable of doing such jobs. Like Matt Gidley

His name has been thrown up a few times.

Rothfield has even suggested it in his articles.

I've heard him asked about it and he's said he's not interested. Maybe he's had a change of heart.

Definitely a long time Cronulla supporter.

Don't know if u realise but cricket is played in summer and the footy season is winter.

Cricket's played all year round these days. Clarky will have an exhibition game....might even get the Sydney Kings to visit....

I really think Dean Utoff would make an aewsome prop and steve carfino halfback.

Our team know more about cricket scores than those blokes

Clarke seems like a level headed and genuine bloke but not what I would associate with NRL CEO Material

I recall reading an artical a while back suggesting this and it went through positions he has filled and been offered. He must know what he's doing because there were some pretty big roles offered to him.

I've no problem with Clark getting the gig, as long as there's a very transparent and objective recruitment process.
