Is it the club's decision to use Ticketek or is it forced on all clubs by the NRL?

It's a contractual thing, I'm not 100% sure how it works but I hear we are looking elsewhere.

Just on this, I notice that clubs using Ticketmaster have tickets on sale to their home games already. Not so for clubs using Ticketek. Another reason to flick this mob.

I have already bought my tickets to the 2 NRL (rd 13 & 19) games and the test match in Oct for Perth through Ticketmaster.

I think it comes down to individual venues having contracts with ticketmaster/ticketek, you'll notice you can buy tickets to Dragons games in Wollongong via ticketmaster but not kogarah or anz games.

would us having ticketek over other agencies be purely a business thing? ie we get a better % of gate than with a rival person? based on us having a typically 'lower' annual attendance than others, maybe ticketek offer us a better package?

The club has been awarded the NRL Membership Club of the year from the NRL. The award was presented to membership team yesterday at a conference in Auckland and is in recognition of the clubs Membership transformation and results over the past 12 months.

This is grerat news and well deserved. The Membership team, led by Brad Pettitt, have done an excellent job in a short space of time.

One of the other things that was shot last Sunday apart from the much maligned anthem thingy.

I suspect the usual suspects will still have a big girly whinge about "truey-true" fans and stuff.

I like the direction the Club and the NRL have decided to go with their marketing strategies.

Thumbs up from me.

Panthers are offering a $200 membership that comes with a jersey and 6 home game tickets. That's unreal value considering the price of a jersey. Great incentive to get people to sign up/rep the new sponsors too.

Considering how cheap they must make the jerseys it would be awesome if they were on optional add on to all memberships for an extra $60-100. You'd expect them to sell heaps more which is again great for both the club and the sponsors.
