In the interview with Dino, I thought he mentioned that there will be an additional 600 on the terrace (in reference to gnd capacity).

Maybe it's a particular ticket that you purchase for game day?
Is the total capacity once completed 18,000? Can't seem to find where it was mentioned what the ground holds.

Yeah Dino confirmed as much on the interview he did win the ET Stand podcast last week.

One of the reasons we can only hold approx 12.5k at the moment is due to fire egress (I'm the event of an emergency) as we only have the two exits.

A new exit will be built in the NE corner leading into the precinct area.

Dino pretty much said end of next year.

I think the realistic drop dead target would be for the first home game 2026 (probably a month before so staff can get in the swing of things etc).
honestly, that would be a reasonable outcome given what..its near August 2024 now and they have not received the club back

Our maximum capacity has never been much higher than 20k approx from memory?

And even with that, we've rarely got anywhere near that most games...

18K sounds fine to me.

I was there ( I’m sure many of you as well ) in the late 80s when there was over 20,000 ( before ET stand ) and it wasn’t pretty - fun ( was young then ) but not comfortable ..

18,000 seems to be the right number ..

I still remember the old toilet block in the NE Corner....the one that's still there!

Yep 18k is good for us. The problem is the lack of undercover seating, it's not good enough.

thought about this a bit in my time
the place does need more undercover seating and the like. needs more corporates,

if they were to get the funding, ideally you would actually knock over the 2 existing stands (ET, MP) and re do it to be a 2 tiered undercover stand that goes all the way around south to north with a roof right.

and that would be brilliant
i think thats the only way you could sell to the fanbase "hey we are moving again for 2-3 years)

i dont know how they get that funding tho. private equity maybe.

We're not mate unfortunately, will never happen. No chance private equity provide it, there's absolutely nothing in it for them.

so i guess, you then have to see what you can do yourself or whatever.

personally i think we should just keep the corporrate tent where it is when the club comes back, because then you could sell more corporate space

id also look at doing the same thing under the quest where that big wall is.

just keep the temporary **** up forever

Not ideal but I don't think we have much of a choice really. I'd absolutely love to see a big new stand built but I just can't see how it ever happens.

that scaffolding stand has been at old trafford cricket for like a decade. no one cares
if they can increase the capacity, increase the amount of actual seats etc, be worth it

Don't forget that the new deck and restaurant will be great corporate options. I like that they are slightly different to the standard sit in a box too.

ofcourse
im just saying that if you have more to sell, they'll want to do that
they currently have a waiting list

selling more corporates is the way to keep the place sustainable longer term i think
