Fourth thing: I dont know Flano from a bar of soap, and Ive never interviewed anyone before.

Firstly, I always appreciate any Sharks reading I can get. I always appreciate people taking time to share their thoughts especially witty ones. However, if one of your questions indicated that you knew he was an assistant coach for NSW and the incoming Sharks coach...you clearly DID know Flano from a bar of soap ;)

Apparently some of current our players aren't impressed with Flanno as coach, do you think he is the negative to coming to play for the Sharks due to him being relatively unknown?

I don't believe so, he has a good track record with lower grades over the years as well as his assistant gigs.

He has done the hard yards and IMHO I believe he deserves a go at the big job.

I would imagine that alot of players are glad to have him step up to mark and take over.

erh, coming to play?

Quite the opposite

his resume speaks for itself, the players already know him..Current NSW Assistant coach

he ISN'T relatively unknown, no idea where people get that idea from, he's been around for over a decade

Flano definitely seems to get the best out of his players. His record as a coach in Jersey Flegg and other lower grades is quite remarkable.
As Gil said, he's done the hard yards, he's served his apprenticeship and I believe he is ready to take over.

That's a bummer, you need to have everybody on board to make a successful year.

I hope it's not to distracting.

The man is more than qualified for the job. If you guys are suggesting we need a better coach we'll, you might as well just be looking for the best club coaches around in Bennett/Bellamy. Flanagan is a top class coach and all of his lower grade teams have had success.

He may well be able to coach but can he attract players? Not looking good.

Maybe it has something to do with our current team and financial status? Can't just play Flanagan as the scapegoat.
