Hehe looks like some people are catching onto my belief when we first signed Wade. The kid WILL finish his career as a lock - and he will be the best ball playing lock when he does. I have no idea what SF is planning for his Round 1 team, and to be honest I didn't listen to the interview, but boy do you increase your attacking options if you played...

6. Kelly
7. Smith
13. Graham

...at the same time. Who drops out though? Do you put Toops/Bakuya both on the bench? Do you sacrifice a bench hooker and run with two back rowers and two props? Time will tell I guess. Exciting times ahead I say!

Yeah that got me excited.

He's a likeable guy Flanno. First time since Lang I have been proud of our coach.

Yeah, I like the way he seems calm when he talks to the media. He doesn't seem like the type that would chuck a hissy-fit if something doesn't go our way, much like Johnny Lang who I adored.

Yeah, cos Smith was such an attacking force last year. Smith can't be anywhere near our 1st grade team.

When i seen Towsend play in musselbrook his kicking game appeared to be really wobbly, just seemed as though he could not get boot on ball properly

Like Smith then, some of the worst kicks I have ever seen came off the boot of Smith last season

Wade will FINISH his career in the 13 jersey he is 10+ years from finishing his career. He will be in the halves for us this year. Its a major reason why he came to us (to play in the halves, be the dominant half, run the side)

Yeah mate, on the right track here.

I am certain what we need is an 80 min hooker. Jmorris is our "ball playing" hooker at present anway, so if we could get aiton playing for longer and longer we could easily go toops/bukuya bench with Vave/Mannah.

The above 6/7/13 would give us alot more options.

Why are people excited about him moving to lock? Doesn't that mean he has failed at half? Half is a much more important position than lock.

Smith just doesn't have it in him to "lead" that's why I think the only way he would see any success would be with the other 2 also on the field.

meh, I don't think he'll play much if at all though this season.

God, if we have to play two other halves on the field for Smith to feel comfortable at his age he should just retire now. He can't hold his own in defence either. Not an option.

If wade plays at lock we are not using him properly end of discussion. We bought him to be our number 1 half... some people are just silly!

He said AK was a 100% playing round one, just have to find a position for him. Where else is he going to play? Its either 5/8 or bench. meaning that either smith or graham will be half. My guess is kelly will be on the bench.

I reckon that was pure diplomacy. I doubt he's pulled Tim Smith aside and said "You'll be playing NSW Cup". Probably more like "AK and Graham are currently ahead of you".

Graham won't be shifting to lock at all the season. Pipe dream if I've ever seen one.

We absolutely need J Morris on the field as much time as possible with these raw halves.

Get three ballplayers on the field?

I understand that part, personally I'd rather a ball playing hooker.

If Graham is in form he'll be in the halves. That's what I'm getting at. If he's moved to lock either this year or later in his career it will be because people don't rate him as a half (similar to what has happened to Bird).
