Season Predictions for 2011

thought it might be a bit of fun for those who posted in numerous forums etc to repost there predictions that they came up with at the beginning of the year compared to where the ladder stands now and over the next 2 weeks.

how close are/were you?

current ladder as it stands as of completion of Round 24.

Not even close, I thought Melbourne, Bronco's and Manly would struggle this year to make the 8!!! LOL yet they are the top 3 teams and have been the most consistant sides all year. Shows how much i know.

The only smart people are the ones that realise that a fresh year can change everything.

I think predicting a top 8 at the start of any year is one of the hardest things you can do. There's always a few teams that are HEAPS different to what is expected. I had a feeling that the Roosters would go bad, but not the Titans for example. How could you predict stuff like that?

yeh, the only specs i gave were dragons minor premiers and panthers for spoon

but i didnt hammer Ryan and tell him the titans would be ****, and i bet him the sharks would have a better year than them

I thought Titans would be a top 4 certainty.

But I did think that Eels, Roosters, and Raiders would be bottom 4. I was close with those ones so happy about that.

Particular the Raiders. I was very confident they'd have a **** season.

Cant remember, but had us 9th or 10th, coming home with a wet sail, winning more than we lost in second half of the season! Think i had Cowboys on top.Didn't think Manly would make the 8 but just think they might steal it(The cup) from here.

I said I would be happy if the Sharks finished between 9th or 11th, but it doesn't look like we'll even get that....so WRONG!!!
I thought Melbourne would finish just outside the top 4......WRONG!
I thought Manly would finish in the top 4......Right!
I had Brisbane in the lower half of the top 8.......Close but still WRONG!
I had the Warriors in the 8, so yeah, I'll count that as a win.
I actually had the Cowboys near the bottom......SO DEAD WRONG!!!!!
I had the Tigers in my top 4......Close but I thought they would be having a much, much better season then they are......so I'll count that one as a WRONG!!!
I had the Dragqueens in my top 4...........I'm happy I'm wrong about this one.
I had the Knights mid-table.......so yeah, count that one as a tick.
I had the Bunnies in dead last.......So WRONG!!!
I had the Doggies in my top 8......So WRONG!!!
I had the Panthers in my top 8.......WRONG!!!
I actually thought the Roosters would slide out of the 8.....but not this far.....I'll still count it as a RIGHT.
I thought the Raiders would be mid-table, battling with the Knights for the 8.......WRONG!!!
I had Gold Coast in the bottom half........But not so faaar down.....so WRONG!!!
I had Parramatta in my bottom 4......So yeah I'll count that one as a RIGHT!!!


So my score is 5/16........I'll take that.
