I was the termite that backed France.
GRHHH .Oh how so bitter sweet, for a fleeting second tonite, i looked like a frigging genius standing to collect a pretty penny on something i knew little about.
Reality can be a real bitch at times! It has this kinda way of off-setting gut instincts with mother nature.
Monday morning comes around, and all i have to show for it is a little gravel rash.

But geez that match kept us (I was with a group with a bunch of kiwis and others) right on the edge of our seats.

I don't recall such an opportunity - but it may've happened. Perhaps the All Blacks were putting so much pressure on the French team, so the kicker couldn't get a kick away.
I do remember a situation about 10 minutes to go where the french fly half look as if he wanted to kick a drop goal about 40 metres out but he was under so much pressure he ended up passing to the guy outside of him.
Yep that was a solid hakka.
I enjoyed watching the final it was tuff and closer than i thought it was going to be.
Im **** at knowing all the rules besides when in doubt kick it out.
the Kiwis were to good and have been all world cup.
I think Sonny Bill only got about 5 min at the end again.
He should come back to the NRL and play for the sharks.

I watched about 3 minutes of the whole world cup but i picked it at the start that we wouldn't make the final and NZ would win.

my smokey for the world cup was wales, i chucked $20 on them to make the final, i was pissed at the ref for sending the captain off
picked nz from the start, they deserved it the most, especially after losing dan carter, it actually made the w/c competitive

New Zealand winning the final was at painfully short odds, so thats an educated (if not obvious) guess.
But whats your reasoning behind not thinking Australia would make the final though? Guess, hunch or you made this call after seeing we lost to Samoa a couple of months ago?

Just gut feeling with Australia. I thought we would dominate our group then fail to make the final.
The last time I actually watched a game of Union was when we lost the World Cup Final to England due to Wilkos boot.

to be fair, i didnt even realise australia were ranked so highly, and i thought they would go out in the round of 8
there was no way in hell australia were winning that world cup

France were about 35-40 out when they had that 10+ phase effort. A little too far out for a drop goal. Only Francois Steyn can bang them in from that far out.
