Yeah they were saying that so I was wondering why we would be tying the record instead of breaking it with a try with about 8mins to go at the time from memory.

I know there is no way that is what the players would of been thinking of though.

I forgot to mention this but what were we thinking with the kick for two when we had 42 points?

Just chewing up the clock, mate. Game was won, no need to risk anyone getting injured for no reason - remember what happened to Gards with just minutes to go against St Merge? Same reason Gal came off with about three minutes left in the match.

As last nights match between the Knights and the Panthers showed, injury management is going to be a massive factor in determining the premiership this year. Flanno seems to be one of the better coaches at doing this, probably because he has been forced to in the last couple of years due to a lack of depth.

Getting through the Origin period is going to be a big test for alot of clubs, ours included.

Ripper of a game to be at and very satisfying to be one of the sharks supporters who lives in Canberra. A few notes I took:
  • Probably the best game I've seen from Carney. It's actually scary how good he is.
  • All the forwards did their job perfectly. We were making metres that easily.
  • Outstanding performance from Fifita. Ran it straight and very hard.
  • Best and Pom have stood up. Love their ****.
  • Gallen is king
  • The CSSC are dead-set champions. I was with a few other Canberra based sharks supporters and we moved to sit with the CSSC in the second half. I can safely say that's probably the most fun I've had at a Cronulla game. To sing/heckle/drink with that many other passionate sharks supporters was brilliant. All I can say is I'd love to be closer to Cronulla so I could become a proper CSSC member, until then though, I will be trying to join them again in other games I manage to get to, up in Cronulla.
  • Thank you to the players too for sticking around to sign my sharks stubby holder (even though Robson threatened not to sign it as I was drinking Carlton Draught).

Yeah maybe that's what it was, i've never seen any other team do it with that margin so it seemed really weird.

OK guys, the conspiracy theories are out there now. Six wins in a row and still they don't rate us.

Have a look at this link to the NRL website where they have listed the five best tries of the round to vote on.

http://www.nrl.com/round-8-hit-try-of-the-week/tabid/10874/newsid/67154/default.aspx

Guess what. There is a Canberra try on there. Robinson's fluke try. Amazing that they even call it a fluke.

Are they telling me that out of the 8 tries that Cronulla scored, none of them were better than Robinson's? Give me a break. Williams second try was fantastic ball movement and the Gallen/Smith/Morris try was just brilliant. Who writes these things? Worse still, I can't see any section on the page that allows me to make a complaint!

So bloody angry!!!!:rant

I honestly don't think so. He could not have planned that. It was what he was trying to do absolutely but it wouldn't come off very often. I just thought the two tries I mentioned were classy, well thought out and well constructed.

I am happy when someone scores a try with individual brilliance but not like that. Even the NRL website admit it was a fluke.

Was the same with the David Mead try against us last year. Spectacular yes, but lucky to put out the hand and grab the ball. 99 times out of 100, you wouldn't pull it off.

Thanks for the support Sharkyboy, I appreciate it.

Just watched the replay again - some observations:

CSSC drowned out not only the entire crowd, but often the commentators.

Wright was for the most part very handy indeed at fullback. Some great plays & runs.

Carney was awesome.

Robson was tough and contributed some good kicks and a nice dummy for a try.

Both centres played their arses off & received just rewards.

Jeremy Smith is invaluable, Gal is amazing with his runs and how he keeps those legs pumping with half the opposition on him.

Fergo is indeed a wanker, and

How the **** am I supposed to get my mug on tv when I'm sitting behind snowman...
