hitman124, there is no doubt that Greg Ingliss is a class act & would compliment any team / club.
However the manner in which Crowe, HaC & Richardson handled the negotiations is a disgrace so to answer your question though my honest answer is that i would have thought that Beau would have made an excellent centre combination with Greg & to me that would have made better sense than what has actually transpired.
I feel gutted after what they did to a bloke who bleeds Red & Green & it goes to show that Crowe is trying to buy a premiership rather than build one.
I'm sad to see my club carry on like this & i thank christ i never voted for privatisation.
That post surely deserves some rep. It takes guts to tell it how it is, especially when you are criticising your Club. You are the class act coogeeboy, not Inglis. He is a money-grubber who has displayed his total lack of loyalty to anyone but himself.
Souths as a Club have deteriorated considerably since privatisation and this is the final straw for me. I see Souths as the new Melbourne. If I was you mate, I would be worried about getting caught rorting the salary cap. The whole deal stinks, in my opinion.
What was once "The People's Team" is now "The Rich and Famous Peoples Team"
I wouldn't mind if they did, and to be honest I think they would if they could afford it.
:Yes::Yes::Yes::Yes::Yes::Yes::Yes:
Would you really want to see our Club sold to the highest bidder. Have control taken away from the real "owners" of the Club - the members - and handed to some rich ego-maniac who wants a new toy?
Have you thought about what will happen to Souths when Crowe runs out of money or get's bored of his "hobby"? What happens to the Club then? What if he decides to move them to New Zealand or merge with some of his other rich mates at the Roosters. Privatisation doesn't provide the security blanket many people see is as.
Sure, in the short term, everythings great. What happens ten or twenty years down the track?
what team doesnt try to "buy" a comp??
everyone does it, they go after the high priced players when they are off contract, if they can afford, they buy it.
Yeah, that would be great if that were true, mate. Unfortunately, as the Storm scandal shows - some people have the resources and are prepared to spend more than what is allowed to win a comp. Have a close look at the history of South's deal with Inglis. It's as dodgy as.
