I thought in the 1st half with only 2 mins to go and the Sharks get a penalty within in distance of kicking for goal,

they should have taken the attempt waste a 90sec get the ball back and take the ball up for 5 tackles and kick for touch but they went for the try Parra get the ball and go on to score on half time.

Correct always take the two in this position-although last time this was questioned, apparently that view(mine) went out in the 70s!

So watched the game for the first time tonight. I thought we were pretty ordinary. Probably our second worst performance of the year. Some great stuff at either end of the field won us the game- goal line D and some slick stuff from Tooooooooooooooooooodd.

All in all, we were lucky Parra were so short on confidence and have forgotten how to win. But a win is a win and we all know that it doesn't matter whether you're playing well at this stage of the season, just get the points. The rest comes later.

No injuries is a big one too.

I like the look of Mark Taufua, he hasn't had much game time but he and Taga are playing perfect short term interchange roles atm. Both guys are big and fast, hit hard in defence and can slip a good pass for second phase play.

Spot on. I am not always in favour of taking the two points, but this was a no brainer.

I just watched the game again. I'll admit we weren't at our best but it's a great thought to think we have won five in a row and haven't come near to playing to our full potential as yet. Only two sides can lay claim to that, the Broncos and of course the Storm. If we play like that against those two we will get beaten fairly easily.

But the two points are valuable and we'll take them. Plenty of improvement to come and I thought we were a bit tired yesterday so the week's break will come in handy. De Gois will be back against Canberra and barring any injury in the rep games we'll go well.

Everyone seems to think hypotheticals are ok so I'll add mine:

Sharks take the two points and head into half time 8 points up.

The half time feel is completely different.

'We are on top here...this is ours...'

Sharks return second half feeling confident and perhaps thinking a little about fulltime celebrations, while Parra return with the desire to throw the ball around and get back into the match, providing a massive momentum shift that lifts them through the second half.

I'm not saying I believe this, but The Butterfly Effect is a pretty big thing!!!

We got the two points so the right decision was made.

Thank you

Nice. Yeah a mate came with me Sunday. Hardly ever comes but we have never seen them lose. The only game he came with me last year was the dogs game at Homebush

Just got back to Brissy from attending the game, so thought I'd throw up a late post to say congrats to the mighty sharkies.

Definately not our greatest performance but a entertaining & nerveracking game to watch live. The two points was so important coming into a week off & with some very tough games ahead.

I hadn't been down for a while & it made me realize that I really need to do it more often.

Well done boys, keep improving & keep the streak going!
