Round 7: Sharks vs Newcastle Knights

1) N. Stapleton
2) T. Tautai
3) B. Pomeroy
4) B. Ferguson
5) I. Gordon
6) T. Barrett (c)
7) T. Smith
8) K. Snowden
9) J. Morris
10) L. Douglas
11) G. Millington
12) A. Tupou
13) P. Gallen

14) S. Vave
15) B. Wright
16) K. O'Donnell
17) P. Aiton

Give O'Donnell a crack, a bit of new blood might freshen our pack up a bit and give us some sort of impact from the bench. O'Donnell's sharks profile says "will hope to squeeze his way into the side on form." Well, he's certainly in much better form that most of our lot, so get him in there.

Very nearly got rid of tautai in favour of matt wright in the centres, in which case it would have been:

1) Stapleton
2) Ferguson
3) Pomeroy
4) Wright
5) Gordon

And I'd be happy with that too. In fact I might prefer it, but its a bit tough on Matty Wright I think.

Thoughts?

Agree that M.Wright should be moved back into the centers - I don't know why he's not there already.

Cordoba injured and it looks like Aiton is injured aswell (and pomeroy)

I have deadset had enough of tupou, is not damaging at all and is pretty much a passenger (Barrett is not far behind him)

Blood O'Donnell he is gunning in NYC and he has earnt his shot, i've chosen lewis to come into the side instead of Flanagan (if Aiton is injured) because i would like to see how he handles first grade

we need to give the NYC boys some time to develop and not rush the in because it could ruin them..reward some of the NSW Cup boys if we are going to make some changes

if Aiton is out, put O'Donnell on the bench, Morris has been one of our best and can play 80 minutes

Not a bad team peach.

Still don't agree with Barrett moving to lock- why bring in another small man into the defensive line in Lewis? And Barrett was good in the 2nd half today, that combination is developing well. We just need him and Smith to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and win it for us.

But as I said, I like the backline and I don't mind the idea of Brod Wright starting- maybe even for Dougie. It would give us a much more even go forward for the entire game.

Creativity, i think barrett is limited in the ball playing role, i see him more of a hole runner, we need someone putting baz into holes because his dummy and step doesnt fool anyone..

the backline needs a reshuffle.

Pomeroy keeps getting in fergusons way, either drop him or move him to the opposite side of the field. i dont think he's a bad option off the bench either.

as bad as the injury to cordoba was, he needed to be dropped. So thats rickys job done for him there.

i wouldnt mind seeing Matt Wright in place of pommeroy in the centres

Who cares ? We're going to get absolutely belted by the Knight no matter who takes the field.

Im a member in the ET stand, Im actively looking for a way to be busy on Saturday night so I don't feel guilty about not attending.

These players (majority) and coaching staff have ruined our club.

O'donnells attack is good, but defence not yet up to first grade.Let him be for a while as someone else said, but will be good in the future if we can develope him and hold onto him.
