A thought for all Sharks fans to consider... if you were to consider a set of results data and to try to apply a trend you'd invariably come up with what is termed in statistics as "an anomaly" ... it is the statistic that doesn't fit.

There are those detractors of the Sharks who would assign our recent success as anomalies,

I understand that anomolies exist in observational data.

Are there commentators saying this already? We beat the premiers and then smashed the second placed team of last year, and both teams didnt play great, but they didnt play extremely bad - both teams were beaten by better sides and both coaches said it. Anomaly, coincidence whatever you want to call it - its impossible for it be - its proffessional footballers, playing to their potential, simple. If its anything its a pattern - us winning.

Absolutely brilliant game by the boys! Words can't express my feelings tonight. Back to back wins and the way we did it - Wow! 8 tries in a game is a monumental effort.

We did have a bit of a sleep there attack wise from the 55th to the 70th minute but we were well in front and Penrith were just awful.

Terrible decision by Elliott to play Tahu. There is no way he is match fit and he was an easy target.

Toops is starting to regain the form he had at the Roosters and Nathan Gardener is really something special. He was safe under the high ball, he bobbed up everywhere and boy is he strong! How he continually beats defenders twice his size I don't know. And it is sheer strength - he pushes them off and shrugs off the tacklers.

Our whole pack again showed why they are a force to be reckoned with and given some space our backline does have some pace. Poms was again very solid and busted some easy tackles. Our halves will get better and better and John Williams actually impressed me with his strength and goal kicking. The only player I am still not sold on is Matt Wright but why change a winning team. He just seems to get caught out a bit and he seems quite slow, considering everyone was raving about his pace when we first bought him.

Let's hope the press give us a bit of credit now. I am sure they will still be cautious and not give us any hope but maybe that's what we need, not to be talked up all the time.

The next two games will be tough against the Warriors in NZ and then at home against Manly. If we can knock those sides over as well, we are in for a good season people!

Couldn't have said it better. My thoughts exactly.
Don't know what to make of it, but around the 55th minute mark, Morris went to the bench.
How has it been since we had the pleasure to watch back-to-back wins?
Awesome week!!

Set completions and minimal drop ball, coupled with an outstanding attitude in defence.

Given what’s happened over the last 5 or 6 years I’d have to say that ranks as one of our best wins since the days of ET?

!!

Morris has been fantastic over the past two games, slick from dummy half and extremely aggressive in defence.

It seems the strategy over the past two games has been to use him up till he is spent, then replace him for the later end of the game.
