The Sun reported that Souths captain, John Sattler, and club secretary, Charlie Gibson, took the rare step of going to Cronulla's dressing room after the game to congratulate "Bishop and his boys."
Sattler said: "Bishop is a little marvel and you never know when you have him. They kept at us all the way, and nobody would have complained had they knocked us off with that last-minute goal kick."
