That's a reason to like the Titans IMO, not hate them.
Yeah I would usually agree with that, which is why I was happy to see the Panthers win the GF in 2003. Sure a couple of the players should have been kept by us, as well as the coach obviously but it wasn't their faults so I am glad to see them have success.
In this case tho, while I like the Titans I want to see us smash Greg Bird. It wont happen and I am sure the players don't hold any ill will toward him but I sure do. His idiocy and immaturity cost us one of our best players (himself) and likely a chance at a premiership (even tho I think Manly would have beaten anyone on that day as they were near perfect).
Bird is one of the few former players that I would enjoy seeing get smashed (lame glass pun completely intended) and if Fergo leaves you can add him to that list. More so in fact.
Also to attempt to get rid of a myth. Just as there are players that we cut loose that go on to greatness there are also just as many who do not. It happens to every club and is the nature of the game and of the salary cap. The only time you can really blame them is when the player's skill is there to be seen at the time.
