Lol at all the (albeit expected) negative commentary from media saying how underwhelming we were.

Gus can job my rim.

I'm absolutely stoked with this game. The first half shows that we still have it. That's all I needed to see to feel like we've still got a chance of going back to back.

We certainly had that blood in water death stare look about us the first 40. I'm content would have taken 10 point margin before kick off. Going to qld back 2 back weeks to win 1 out of 2 is more than acceptable..

That first half was great Brailey males a huge difference. Second half was poor bug Brailey only played 10. Sorry but seggy just I don't know isn't doing it for me, he just looks so clunky in attack..

I'd be picking Brailley as an 80 minute starter and having 4 forwards on the bench.

Latimore is the one not doing it for me. Heighno's lacks size though and Captain America seems out of the picture playing at 5/8 in NSW Cup.

You think he can go all the way?
probs yes. Early in the season I'd say he couldn't but he's had a dozen or so first grade games and has hardened up from that. He showed no fear today coming back after a nasty injury so I think he is tough enough.

I liked his combo with paulo. Forward with an ability to play hooker

Hard to decide what our strongest 17 is now, only one that picks himself for our bench is boogs then the other 3 spots are open if we are going to try bailey for 65-70 minutes I think we need Paulo there. Not sure dropping seggy is in flannos plans, tricky one I personally would like to see heino ahead of Latimore.

SO the morning after and thinking about the game

First half....near perfect really. We controlled every aspect of the game well. They got a nice try off some good work by Morgan. But really we controlled the ball we were breaking the line at will and gave ourselves 5 or 6 scoring chances (4 of which we actually scored). For a half of footy, thats really good. coulda gone into the sheds at 30-6 or something.

The second half we went into our recent form and started the droppsies again, pushing passes, a few silly penalties. It seemed once we got comfortable we fell away.

Credit to the Cowboys though they stuck it out and earned themselves 2 late tries. The players that remained on the field really had a dig. People bagging the sharks for 'just' winning are really just insulting the Cowboys there. The game was won, and the Sharks did what they had to to get the 2 points. But you cant say the cowboys effort wasnt better than ours. They still had Morgan, Taumalolo and Hess on the field (for the most part) who are 3 rep players.

We need to improve but seeing what we did in the first half, is exactly what ive thought all year. Hold the ball, be sensible in defence and the games are ours

Funnily enough we completed better in the second half then the first. We took a lot less risks and it showed
