- See scored the first try, kicking the ball ahead three times down the sideline before regathering.
- Mick Mullane threw Canberra's defence into panic each time he linked up with the backs. He scored a hat-trick.
- Dane Sorensen was probably the best of the keen Cronulla pack.
- Perry Haddock worked strongly alongside Rogers, while Gardner, See and Jarvie all made some probing runs.
