Like I said earlier in the week, we got a lightweight pack we struggling against big forwards like last week against the warriors.

Yes, even our top team we can not match with the better packs ... no intensity , no mongrel no bloody good.
Lightweight based on this team, without fifita taga vave lewis and even toops we lack size and power. I dont think that performance would do the storm any good as u need to to play hard grind games leading up to play offs...can't slag our boys too much its pretty much a reserve grade side so the bench warmers will be getting valuable experience

They are certainly getting plenty of experience .... I jut hope it is good experience and not how to lose., still think we are one or two forwards short need at least one big strong Bugga who can run stright and Hard and tackle with the right intensity.

I forgot to mention that I met an American man from San Dieago and his son who were in the country and have been following the sharkies for over 15 years ever since he first visited the country.

His son was decked out in the old late 90s and early 00s hat and Adam dykes' training shirt from 2006. Some really lovely people and he really wanted his son to catch a game as he had never seen them play.

Told him he probably couldn't have picked a worse time to see us but they were just stoked to see us score a try. Told him he has to get to shark park as neither of them have been there for a game.

I just thought that was a cool story some of you guys might have found interesting!

Also said they have a channel that gets 1-3 games a week and they get the GF and maybe an origin if they are lucky. Champion people!

Good stuff SB, yea I really wish they saw our game against the broncs or roosters or something to really show them that Sharky spirit and ability instead of the thrashing of last night but happy they enjoyed the try and experience

I tried to get them to join up on here so we could all give them a hello and a chat but I'm positive he won't do it, was thinking that clearly after beers.

Pretty shattered I didn't grab any form of contact information.

watching the game live at aami park a few things were obvious....our kicking is terrible. But lets be honest, we already knew that we need someone else who can kick. (a halfback). Our forwards got dominated badly, not enough meters in attack and our ruck defense was horrible. I also think that our tackling technique needs some work, they never seemed to hold onto guys very well and dominating the tackle. They were terrible at wrapping up the ball.

I was very happy seeing holmes play, with a dominate forward pack I think he and brown will tear some teams to shreds. We really just need our forward pack all fit and healthy and a halfback.

Im not sure why ayshford was selected for this game, it was pretty obvious we needed another forward, not a pretend NRL center on the bench.

I hear some rumour that he tweeted about returning soon.

Unless he had a miracle heal from a few weeks ago, he was still in a moon boot on the 17th of July with crutches and said his ankle is still screwed

Yeah, I wish the Sharks website would clarify where his injury was at. Pretty much when Andrew got injured, David said on twitter "One Fifita gone, one returns", or something like that. But other word is that he is out for the season, and may still be in the moon boot. So I have NFI either way.

EDIT: He has clarified that he does not yet know if he will return this season, and will have to see his surgeon this week for advice. Could go either way.

I think they were kind of forced to, due to salary cap restraints.

Ok so it looks like only maybe Toops returns before end of season. Basically last weeks team is all we can offer to avoid the spoon. Not confident.

It really shows how bad our injuries are that we're closely monitoring the possible return of a nsw cup forward :gal:

When Ayshford is getting a spot on the bench, it's pretty much the biggest sign possible that we're even desperate for NSW Cup forwards!

Was down in Wagga Wagga for the weekend, only managed to catch the first 20 minutes before heading out for dinner. Don't think I'll bother watching the replay.

worth watching just for valentine holmes picking up the ball off his toes in full flight from the storms try line.
