From RLW:
  • The Sorensen brothers showed they are undoubtedly still among the world's best forwards as they sunk Manly to their third successive loss.
  • Kurt was dynamite - blockbusting in attack, and plenty of sting in defence - while Dane gave plenty of support with a non-stop prop's game. They completely overpowered the Manly pack.
  • Dane played a role in the first try to Bourke, and Kurt burst onto a Miller pass to score the second.
  • Former Manly winger, Jim See, sealed the Eagles' fate with a try for the Sharks with four minutes remaining. He broke a poor attempted tackle and sprinted 35 metres to score out wide. It was a close call though, with Manly's Les Boyd held up over the line shortly after the ensuing kick-off.
