Yeah I wouldn't mind Flash in the centres - anywhere but fullback at the moment. If we are going to blood Holmes then this should be the line up.
I have a feeling though that if we blood Holmes it'll be on the wing but I think he would be wasted there.

If Holmes plays like he did on the weekend he won't make a pound of difference to the side. Was dangerous when he injected himself but barely touched the ball. Was content to stand around and let everyone else play.

Not a good sign.

Could see him lift his game to prove himself though.

Its a whole new arena and the boys will be at him to get involved i would say.

Hope so - Its the least involved I have seen him play so he could have just had an off game.

It was just really hard to watch us come so close and know that everytime he got the ball the Panthers couldn't deal with his footwork, speed and strength. I said on the twitter it could even be a coaching thing as surely with Holmes in the side 75% of your set plays would involve him yet ours didn't.

its funny we have said for a while we need some quality outside backs.

feki is really finding his feet and is alot better than 12 months back.
gagan had a **** first game, but really hasnt been **** since. 5 tries in 5 or 6 games, 2 of those made solo tackles that won the game for us.
gordon its funny that 18 months ago you wouldnt have wanted him as 2nd/3rd choice anything. now he doesnt have a choice. he cant retain a fullback spot when all he can do is run through wide gaps in the defence. and i wouldnt move gagan to centre to accommodate him on the wing.

wade said hopefully we cman get holmes on the field before end of year. hopefully he gets 3 games or so and impresses and leaves little to no choice but to have him there next year full time.

not to be a ****, cos i reckon gordon is a genuine team player, but for the good of the team.....depth

When it comes to promoting young players to firsts you really have to take into account a few things when judging whether there ready. Its not just consecutive top form otherwise players like Stapo and what not would be in and out of firsts like a yoyo. Gagan never really set nsw cup on fire week in and week out but coming into firsts he has now become a success on the wing and stepped up.
Holmes is another where as people say"he had a quite game besides some great attacks" well he aswell could step up and its the players quality and class when he chimes in thats important because these are the heights we could see on the bigger stage.

Come on Sharkies!!! We owe them a flogging after round 9 (but I'll settle for a win). Could not bear coming back to Taree with a smug Eels supporter sitting next to me all that way.

If the Eels somehow win and he's being all smug about it, let him take the train or bus home!
