Will put my hand up and say that after the first few rounds I had nearly given up on season. I'm just really happy that we are competing. Few wins of late have been delicious. We have the capacity to run with most sides. I doubt many sides would have handled that environment today. Well done lads. Let's beat Warriors and then we can start thinking semis.

Just saw the game - how on earth we won - dropping the pill all those times, four dumb play the balls from Fifita and Bukaya, a kick out on the full by Wade and another by Robson....I can't work it out.

Just as well Dogs played as bad as we did - It was like watching two teams of Pomeroy clones playing each other.

But I'll take the 2 points.

As for the team - a sack load of skills training this week just might see us jig another win - over a Warriors side minus Johnson.

The Dogs turned in on early in the second half and looked really dangerous.

Then they forgot what they were doing and went back to playing like nuffies.

If they played with that intensity all game, and with that crowd behind them, they could have easily put 50 points on us.

We're lucky we can drag other teams down to our level and win ugly.

As a spectacle, that was probably the worst game of football I've seen us play and win.

Not wanting to rain on our parade but be warned - three wins in a row doesn't mean we're playing well.

The difference between us and the top four teams is massive - At this point of the season we need to start playing much better if we want to go far in the semis.

We've beat 3 of those top 4 remember. If we go into the finals with a full strength team we're not easybeats.

Just because it wasn't pretty it doesn't mean we didn't play well. There was a lot of emotion out there and I thought we hit hard and were committed all over the field.

Jack Bird got smashed quite a few times but he's a tough little bugger luckily.

One of the great Sharks performances IMO. In the face of adversity. Well done boys.

Agree last 2 posts, don't get caught up on total points or styles of play, almost guarntee do a straw pole of the top 4 sides and the team they don't want to play in a semi and it will be the sharks, because of our ugly grinding niggling defend defend style... I'm happy that this is the point of diffrence from other teams, anyone that things we can go point for point with current top 4 teams during a Free flowing try feast is delusional.

I must say that was probably the best away win I've ever attended, not for the quality of the game, which was average, but for how we pulled of a win at a ground like that with so many vocal home supporters, they were so load and just walking around the ground you barely saw a sharks supporter.

Dj and I belting the team song out loud and proud walking out of the ground in the middle of a heap of dogs supporters was amazing

What a shame that all the headlines revolve around Saturday afternoons events instead of the great win the Sharkies had on Sunday.

The only thing sweeter than a win like this is beating the Cows with a super dodgy ref mistake. Love it.

No offence, but I don't like this assessment. It's a bit like all the backhanded compliments Gould gives the sharks every time we play, that we only win by niggling and dragging the opposition down to our level. All of our tries were well executed, with the first one being all class. We outsmarted the bulldogs pure and simple. All those repeat sets and power up the middle in the first half is why, when the dogs did get some momentum later in the game, they couldn't sustain it. They were forced to play catch up footy with tired, frustrated bodies because of what the sharks did to them in the first, and they made mistakes.

The bunnies wrestled their way through last season to eventually win the GF, but no one's saying that's why they won, because it isn't, what did though is lay a platform for everything else they did, just like all of the pressure and frustration the sharks put on the dogs laid a platform yesterday.

I've only just seen the game and I have to say that Jack Birds defense is starting to become a major asset. So often he applied pressure to their playmakers and ball playing forwards with his rushing and tackling. It was his tackle from behind that forced Morris' foward pass close to the line, and he made sure of that obstruction ruling by not playing for the penalty but keeping his feet to eventually lay a hand on Morris. I have no doubt he would of cleaned Morris up with a clean run at him.
