No offence, but I don't like this assessment. It's a bit like all the backhanded compliments Gould gives the sharks every time we play, that we only win by niggling and dragging the opposition down to our level. All of our tries were well executed, with the first one being all class. We outsmarted the bulldogs pure and simple. All those repeat sets and power up the middle in the first half is why, when the dogs did get some momentum later in the game, they couldn't sustain it. They were forced to play catch up footy with tired, frustrated bodies because of what the sharks did to them in the first, and they made mistakes.
The bunnies wrestled their way through last season to eventually win the GF, but no one's saying that's why they won, because it isn't, what did though is lay a platform for everything else they did, just like all of the pressure and frustration the sharks put on the dogs laid a platform yesterday.
