Just got back from the game. Good win by the boys.

3. Townsend
2. Hampton
1. Gigot

Disappointed Raitini only got three and a half minuets (literally).

went to game also and thought Townsend was ordinary a final play chad was told to put a huge kick in with the Fijian flyer moving to centre field to chase would of been interesting.

Here we go ladies and gentlemen It's the moment you've been waiting for! Drum roll please! JIMBOB's NSW CUP PLAYER REVIEWS!

1. Ben Hampton 9/10

- The guy was everywhere today. Floated around in attack looking for an offload and took almost every kick on the full. He combined well with Townsend, Manumalealii and Gigot in set plays and set up Mills(?) for his try. The guys defense was awesome too, he saved two tries on his own with his phenomenal one on one defense.

15. Daniel Moroko 5/10

- "The Rock" was very quite in the first half in both attack and defense. He finally got involved in the second half by taking the workload off the forwards by taking a heap of hitups. He didn't get any chances to challenge the line at all in the game.

3. Stewart Mills. 7/10

- Mills was constantly involved throughout the game in both attack and defense. He pulled off some great hits. Only thing that annoyed me is that he blew some opportunities by not giving the ball to Moroko when he was unmarked. He might get in a bit of trouble for abusing the ref during the match.

2. Sosaia Feki 5/10

- Like Moroko he was quite. Didn't get too involved and didn't do anything spectacular other than taking a high ball in our in goal. He didn't get any real opportunities to attack the line.

5. Young Tonumaipea 7/10

- Tonumaipea played his best game for us today. Other than being caught out of position in defense a couple times he didn't really do anything wrong. Had some strong 20 meter tap returns.

7. Penani Manumalea 6/10

- Penani didn't do too much today other than his try. He didn't really do much in attack and his kicks were average. Wasn't really tested in defense.

22. Chad Townsend 10/10

- Chad played awesome today. His kicking game was awesome and forced a couple of repeat sets. His defense was also solid today and combined well with Manumalealii.

20. ??????? 6/10

- Didn't catch who this player was but he was alright. Had a couple of strong hit ups and was solid in defense. Pretty sure it was a Melbourne boy.

9. Pat Politoni 6/10

- Pat had a solid dummy half's game. Didn't do anything spectacular but didn't do anything wrong. Strong game.

10. Rodney Coates 8/10

- Coates was our best forward today. Had awesome hit ups and made some solid tackles.

11. Maurice Blair 6/10

- Blair seemed pretty quite today. Had some good touches but didn't play like a man try to force his way into the Melbourne side. Blotched an opportunity in open space.

12. Tupou Sopoaga 8/10

- Sopoaga was good up until he hurt his foot mid second half. I agree with Snowman I don't miss Frizz at all with Sopoaga in our ranks.

13. Tyrone Peachey 7/10

- Peachey was solid in the first half and was given a try for his efforts. Was very quite in the second half.

Interchange

6. Tony Gigot 9/10

- Gigot was awesome for us today. Came on with 30 minutes left and in his first five he forced a Bears error and kicked a 40/20. He also got us a one on one strip and had good defense throughout his time on the field. He played dummy half and replaced Polotoni

8. Tim Robinson 6/10

- Robinson was good, not great. Had a solid run today and is an alright NSW Cup pick up.

14. Junior Roqica 6/10

- See Robinson.

16. Alipate Ratini 1/10

- Can't really comment on Ratini as he literally got three and a half minutes of game him. Made an error though haha

I thought Townsend went well.

He forced four drop outs in the first half (Two of them lead to trys).

Mills went alright. He didn't have many opportunities to attack the try line (None of our backs did).

We need to poach Hampton from the Storm. The kids a gun.

What sucks is that with Finch returning from injury Gigot will most likley be forced out of the team.

Is Ben Hampton one of ours or is he a Melbourne boy? Don't remember seeing him on any pre-season lists so I'm assuming he's from the Storm. Can anyone confirm?

Edit: sorry, my bad. Just saw JimBob's post after I put mine up.
He's a Storm boy. Looks promising.
