Sharks name team to take on the Rabbitohs
Interim Sharks coach Peter Sharp has selected the same 17-man side that was successful against the Titans for Monday nights' Round two match against Souths at ANZ Stadium.
With the match still six days away Sharp has also added Chad Townsend and Jayson Bukuya to his interchange bench, with a handful of players still assessing the bumps and bruises from Sunday’s Titans clash.

No serious injuries have been reported, with the Sharks set to be full strength for what shapes as a huge challenge against one of the competition favourites.
The team trained strongly on Tuesday under the guidance of Sharp and will be looking to build on the positive momentum created by Sunday's stirring win over the Gold Coast.

Honestly, this is going to be a very tough game, but depends how the cards fall on the day, so I wont write us off yet either. Obviously GI, Reynolds kicking and their forwards will all be difficult to contend with, but at least we know which side theyll be going to, and if we can keep a good defensive structure we can hopefully restrict them to a lot less than the rooters did.
Attack will be the key for us, and we'll need the likes of Carney, Gordon, Beau & Co to be on their best. If we can get off to a start then who knows, but ill keep it tight also and say sharks by 2

Assulted?

It was on field in NSW Cup. Taufua got lifted on his head in a dangerous tackle and got up and belted the mong.
Mark can aim up believe me! I used to play rugby against him and was very polite to him! Ha ha. His old man was a top boxer as well and a f......g huge unit!

I've obvioulsy never been in the same situation as our guys find themselves in but I think you might be underestimating the impact it's going to have on them. Hope I'm wrong.

If it was ever going to take it out of them, it would have last week. All that happened from Wednesday to Saturday.

I am confident we will be better this week.

Im far from confident...we have to implode sooner or later..sharpie made it very clear last week how much the boys were struggling.
But if they can pull it off we will get even more support and admiration from the outside world

Most of the main stream media crap has died down over the last 12 or so hours thanks too the cricket crap, bogan/fergoscum girly drinks so hopefully it continues too die down more and more, although, one little hint of anything and it will be front page again :( in saying all that that is from an outside point of view, who knows what's going on behind closed doors

I am quite confident about this game, Burgess is a big loss.

Our attack is the key. We need at least 24points maybe more to get a result from this game. Inglis hitting that back line at pace is hard to cope with. ( Boyd also showed the value of a great fullback last night).
Confident that we have the capacity to run with these guys. Our ball playing forwards could cause some damage against this lot.

Over the past few years we have struggled to beat souths.

Bogey team... and this year they are stronger than ever.

Can't see us winning the game, we always play tough and put in a good performance and we never give an inch. But their squad has creativity, speed and power.

Will be a very very tough match.

Gotta hope they are off their game.

I'm somewhat confident about this game. We played well against them last year(lost first but won second) and they were stronger in the centre then (Taylor) and we were a much weaker side.

I think we can handle inglis better than we did last year as well with Lewis in the fold.

I think if we play like we did last week we are a good chance. Try exploiting outside early in the game to test the waters and look for a result late in the count. Aim down the middle for the bulk of the set. They will be vulnerable without Burgess and lose a lot in both attack and defense.

Also missing will be fullback Nathan Gardner and winger Nathan Stapleton, with the piar ruled out with leg injuries. Sam Tagataese and Chad Townsend have both been named on an extended NRL bench but may yet be available for NSW Cup pending on the final make up of the NRL side for Monday night.

Is there a possiblilty there could be more to the leg injuries with Gardner and Stapo ?
