This is a good draw. Normally I'd be happy with a slow buildup like panthers or storm but next year we have to fire from the start. Hopefully a Sunday.

Hopefully a sunny Sunday arvo at Toyota Stadium followed by a party in the Summertime Bar.

Tops!

Just thinking,
How much would it cost to get a
METAL,
ST MERGE looking sign as if it were a road sign made,
and screwed onto the outside of bay 12?
Any takers? :]

We need to start a campaign to try to break the ground record at this game. Just totally dominate the Red V filth!:good:

If we beat Canberra we will def get a good crowd. If we beat the dragons the lost sharks fans will "Believe" again and i think we would be posetive for the year

Just between you, me and the gatepost... I can guarantee that the lads are looking forward to this game like you wouldn't believe. ;)

Bring it on!

I agree with all of these sentiments.

First of all, this is a great target for us with the 'Believe' movement. Iron nailed it (see what I did there?) on the head- we should be aiming to break the ground record. Its as simple as that. And it should be a ground full of blue, black and white- big flags, little flags, jerseys, banners, TIFOs, scarves- the whole lot.

I don't mean this from a "yeah, fired up to play the stains, can't wait" perspective- I mean that this is a great opportunity for us to really kick-off a new era with a bang. It has to be so obvious to the TV commentators that they mention it on air. We must send the message to all the fans watching on TV, administrators, St George, but especially to those at the ground, and our players, that the Sharks are well and truly here to stay, and we must do it with overwhelming force. Overwhelm is the word.

And we need document it, and use the photos, film and interviews to remind people how good it was, and how their team played- because I am sure the boys will do us proud (and anyone who bothers reading my posts on here will realise that I don't make predictions like that out of hope). I want to see people writing in to the Leader commenting on the atmosphere and how well the boys played, people crowding out the Leagues Club after the game, and I want to see kids nagging their parents for merch after having a kick around on the field.

There are three things out of our control- the dastardly weather, how the boys go first up against Canberra, and whether this game gets given a Sunday arvo slot. But, looking at the draw, I think it could, and we always aim up well down in Capital Shark country. Everything else we can influence.

Let's set it as a goal of ours, and make it the kind of landmark day for the club that Sharks fans will remember for many years with that golden glow of nostalgia. How many 5 year olds can we turn in to Sharks fans in the weekend of Round 2, 2011?

Are you suggesting we use nail guns loaded with Iron shafts and target fagqueen supporter heads?

If so, I didn't see it, and only mildly condoned it.

The Round 2 Fixture and my candidates for Friday Night Football/Sunday Football (either of which would be great for us!)

It's true, something massive has to happen to this game. A huge drive is needed weeks proir to the season start. Object would be brilliant to have all seats sold for Sharks fans & leaving the Dragons fans out of Toyota Staduim.

No more Red & White in the Shire, Waaay too much of it as it is right now.

do you reckon all the dragqueens fans will locate themselves on the hill at the entrance, adjacent to the shops?

but we should just inhabit the seating, it will look so good if we dont associate with them.
wont it be a big turnout of dragqueens fans tho seeing as its the shire, and their second game after winning a grand final?
