Brown made some great tackles (I know he missed some too as did most of our players) and is an evolving threat in attack (kicking, running game, dummies ect) - not sure why some people are getting stuck into such a green player who is showing positive signs. His passing game will develop and start to come out with time confidence and experience. He is finding his feet and place in this team at the moment. Frankly I don't give a **** Todd is gone, I'm happy to stick with Brown as our 6 and give him the chance he deserves. Seems more consistent in his few games as well compared to Mr "3 good games a year gunna piss in my mouth" Carney...

I know we all joke about Robson being a "defensive half" but he was very strong in defense tonight and pulled off some cracking grass cutting tackles along with a few front ons against much bigger men. Was not terrible in attack either with some dummies almost getting him through the line, a few kicks finding grass (yaay) and some good/ordinary results with his grubbers but at least he is going back to his grubbers which gives a chance of a repeat set, mistake or try. He whipped JT in the show and go contest by about 4 points to 1 up against tougher defense than what the Sharks put up against JT

I just thought I would get those comments out of the way before the tidal wave off hate mongering begins to flow through...
For the record Robson has driven me absolutely bonkers all season with his turdiness except for the last 3 games including tonights.

As for Gordon - Is Gards still with the club or what? His last few FG games for us he has been safe at the back (much improved to the past) and adds a different dimension to our attack
Gordon needs a stint in NSW Cup against lesser players in a lower pressure game to hopefully get his confidence back because regardless of what anyone wants on this forum of him moving to wing or going to ESL whatevs we all know we will stay first choice full back while he has a contract here

Toops was a monster again with power and speed in his runs. His offload ability really blows me away and is incredible, he method is different to others who wrestle, stuggle and slip it away amongst all the bodies and arms. While he is more than capable of that, he can just stand, turn and deliver while there is still speed and running around the ruck. This is brilliant for our momentum. Agree with mtyh, best player tonight.

Really impressed with his attitude and performances on the field lately

I havn't been a fan of Gibbs this season but thought he really stepped up tonight and was heavily involved, plenty or runs and tough metres
Some other good things done by other players tonight, Lichaa, Ricky, Jono ect but overall just did not communicate or work as a team in defense and it cost us big time

Season is obviously done, need to keep pride in the jersey and absorb all our learnings and experience week to week in preparation for season 2015
There is hope but Flanno has a big job to re-establish our tough defense, modernise our attacking structures and allow us to play to our enterprising strengths

We have the talent (bar 1 or 2 positions) we just need to be coached and held accountable

There was plenty of infringements and ill discipline, what choice did they have

I think we won the penalty count as well so it wasn't like it was only hurting us although few bad calls in second half against us

Not saying it hurt us, there just seemed to be a penalty every set of 6

Having now had the chance to watch the game(replay) after spending the morning writing up schemes of work for the new academic year - and much as that is a tedious exercise, it's better than watching another 2nd 40 minutes like last week :( - I am baffled again by our ability to continue to play what I can only describe as 'dumb footy'.
For the last 2 weeks we've had a gale at our backs in the second half and the game all but set up for us and yet, we've been rolled over by a combined score of 45-6. I mean, I know you can't just rely on the wind to do the work for you but that's twice in 2 weeks we've spent almost the entire second half camped on our own line. It's incredibly frustrating. The whole game plan (if there is one) seems non-existent. Even knowing the result, I was shouting 'what the **** was that?' far too much for my liking. :(
