Not even a chance of winning.
:(

This all needs to be sorted NOW. I have no idea how we didn't loose that game by 80.

Blake looked like he was trying to get involved (for once). It's amazing what the lure of money will do to some people's game, but nearly every time he touched the ball it ended in poo. Could have something to do with the fact that he has decided that he is an individual in a team game. You can't expect to play well in a team when you alienate all your "teammates". I think it's the first time I have ever really hated someone in a Sharks jersey. I have no time for this clown and would like him to be punted NOW.

I'd also like to see Ricky leave. It is clear that he is not bringing anything overly positive and I cant see the point of having him there. I'd much rather Flano be given the reins so the he can have the opportunity to impose his style on the team before next year. I don't really see how we can do any worse.

To me, it seems like we really don't have a game plan (or the plan is particularly bad).

On the whole, our attack has been an unorganised rabble since the day Stuart came to the club. We have had players come and go (most notably our halves combinations) and yet nothing changes. Some of the halves that we have had have been quality players, and yet we still have no direction.

In honesty, we have some very good players in our team and we are consistently under performing. We have a fantastic forward pack, we have a state of origin five eight and a good young fullback. Our other players, while not spectacular, are of the standard which should be solid enough for us to win at least more than 50% of games.

Time to cut out the cancer (again) and move forward.

We would probably have to pay Blake his usually salary to do nothing, but I would rather pay him to sit on the sideline than to see him out there in the jersey of the club I love.

Ricky would also need to be paid till the end of the year no matter what. The only difference would be that we may need to give Flano a pay rise early.

a few things...
i can no longer defend tim smith, its time for reggies to get some form back.
toops, you play tackle football, its ok to get your jersey dirty, stop passing the ****ing ball every time, get tackles man.
nice to see a good game from pom.
collis needs to look for the ball, and fergo needs to **** off now.
gallen, for all the love we have for you, your brain snaps are still ridiculous.
snowden and douglas, cant say enough about them.
thats all i got. it hurts to lose to those ****wits

I agree with pretty much all of that, but think you're a bit hard on Gal. He was surrounded by incompetence and, as he does, tried to pitch in more than he should to do what Smith & Tupou weren't doing.

Just curious, if Smith goes to reggies, who's your pick for a replacement?

fitz stated ricky agreed to an early release but remain for the rest of the year... if he leaves he will be due a payout of more than this year

and on gallen, i love the bloke, but as you say, sometimes he tries to hard, but did he really need to take gidley out, as soft as it seemed, we had it comfortably

It was soft, but also an academy award winning dive by Gidley. Nobody would've noticed it otherwise.

Just to clarify... I said that I assumed that the Sticky situation of him seeking release a year early on his contract was on the proviso that he can see out this year. It's obviously justan educated guess.

That is NOT a statement that I have had clarified with anyone and I would imagine that the terms of Stuart's employment would be entirely confidential between him and the Board.

That being said, it would be normal for some sort of penalty to be incurred by the Club should they wish to terminate Stuart's contract.

Was Issac Gordon Injured or did he make way for Covell?

Cause if he made way for Covell that was the biggest joke, he was terrible. Grabbing thin air in tackels and got side stepped like 5 times.

Barrett - missing did nothing

Smith - did lots all bad

Fergo - Crap, makes stupid decisions playing for the next big play to help his' asking price

SO.......

Hopefully smith gone and we see Lewis(is he back from injury yet?), Fergo out and either Tautai or Leutele in.

Also either SFP or AK47 in for Baz as he will be out, (if Kelly in Morris to take over some kicking duties)

Barrett didn't do too badly. I definitely think he's too old to be backing up from Origin.

Smith is a myth...no point in retaining him, we would have a better chance throwing morris at Halfback, not alot you can take out of that at all, i can normally find atleast a few possitives to take out of even a bad game, but this, not alot at all can be taken from that...Woefull

Throwing Morris into halfback would be just as stupid.

Yep! Filthy!

We just went backwards about 12 weeks. That was pathetic. Despite scoring first we were never in that game past the 20min mark. Why they had such a tough week in training is beyond me, and it showed today they were tired and sluggish. There was no urgency in anything we did, especially defence - did we even move up off the line at all or just wait for them to come to us?

I think Ricky over did them for this match. We weren't coming up against a good side, Newcastle are rubbish and they still were today, we were just worse. All we had to do was hold the ball, cart it up, kick, chase and wait for the Knights to **** it up. We'd get home easily off the back of our superior forwards and if the backs turned it on we'd romp it home. Instead we tried to get fancy with offloads and crap that just wasn't on.

What was the point of having Wright warm the bench for 72 minutes? Fair enough if we were going well you don't mess with something thats working and only 16 blokes will be used. But when you're going ****house, and there is a top candidate for a hooking in the form of Tupou, well Wright wasn't gonna do any worse, surely.

Thats our season gone with that performance. A complete **** up from the outset. I still can't get past why we'd have such a physical lead up for this and that is what cost us. I'm not laying the boot into Ricky, he obviously had something else in mind and things didn't go to plan, but he dropped the ball on this one big time.

And Gallen, for ****s sake he's gotta get less ball. I lost count of the amount of times we would of been better off letting Galls run through and instead picking up the deeper runner. When Galls starts a run no less than 3 defenders set themselves for big contact, whether he gets the ball or not he's gotten their attention which would open up some time and space for someone else. Although a bit of a gumby most of the time, Poms was making his way through pretty well this arvo and if he had Gallen running some decoy his odds of breaking through would increase big time.

What a **** of a game. What a waste of a season.

Bringing Wright on after 72 minutes is a massive Stuart Special. We had some sort of slim hope of winning it in that last 8 minutes, and he brings on a defence orientated player? Wtf? Where was he when we were defending set after set on our line?

and on gallen, i love the bloke, but as you say, sometimes he tries to hard, but did he really need to take gidley out, as soft as it seemed, we had it comfortably

This is the first brain explosion he's had all season. One of your earlier posts said that you're sick of it costing us. Well it was only the first one this season, and it didn't cost us.

It also looked like we would have taken it comfortably because Gidley slipped on a banana peel. Can't tell what the outcome would have been if he side stepped the garbage.

i said im sick of his brain explosions. it was the same as when pom ran in the way of the player when cov was taking a bomg. there is no need for it. thats why i said kudos for taking a dive kurt, and making gallen look like a ********, it wasnt needed

What a waste of time. Thank god I slept nearly the whole way home. Completion's were disgraceful. Definately shades of early on in the season.

Now to back up against Manly with no Barrett. Joy.

Lucky plenty of beers diluted the pain of watching that rubbish. I just don't understand our issue with holding the ball and why it is so ******* hard!

Throwing Morris into halfback would be just as stupid.

Atleast he would be a more stable half, Smith is just too hot and cold, and i havn't seen much heat from him lately, but in saying that i wasn't stating he should be selected at half, i simply stated we would have a better chance with Morris as opposed to Smith which isn't much at the moment, I would actually prefer to see Barrett at half and Kelly come into 5/8, give Smith a run in lower grades for a couple of weeks

And Yiddo, Barrett is free to play on the weekend!
