I'm just hoping Manly take us lightly we jag the win and put them out of the finals race.

I don't see them taking anyone lightly considering their current position on the ladder

Despite their poor form, they remain a professional outfit more than capable of giving us a flogging. First half will be key, we can't keep starting terrible and snagging a second half comeback after deciding it's time to switch on. Don't see that working against Manly, if they get more than 2 try's ahead we could be done and dusted

Some of our best games against Manly in recent memory are those games where we have been capable of trading blows with them for 80 mins and staying in the contest, can't go into our shell or drop our heads

"We'll just see the way the game goes. I try not to pre-empt those types of things."

Flanno talking about who replaces Polotini at hooker.

1st game all year I'm confident that we either win by 2, or get slapped by 30..
Weird isn't it...

I'd bring Barba on at the 35 min mark for Politoni.

Barba can play dummy half, Robson can defend in the middle.

We are going to play manly back into form. They have a point to prove. Im content with the loss. Manly by 30. Nothing on us, I just think manly will be too good. Looking forward to the derby though it's redemption time

Ordinarily I'd say we've lost the luxury of carrying Barba as a utility this round and are left with 2 options:

1. Your 1 and only real backup dummy-half in Politoni is backed to do the job he's backup for.
2. Politoni can't play the 80 and we have to call on our other backup dummy-half in Robbo to have a spell at #9, meaning we need a replacement half more than a replacement fullback and Barba's #14 goes to Murphy.

Obviously given Murphy is unavailable due to extraordinary circumstances option 2 is not an option.

I don't think Barba is good to come into the halves for Robbo's stint at hooker. I don't think Barba can be sustainable defending at #9.

On all that if Politoni can't do the 80 I spose I'd lean towards Robbo at halfback in attack but defending in the middle alternating with Barba while Politoni has a breather. Its disruptive and not ideal, and probably requires more shuffling and interchanges be used seeing as Politoni would come back on unlike an injured Feki of the past fortnight.

Which brings me to ask whats going on with Feki? Why do we keep playing a bloke who can't manage 80 on the wing? Rest him if he needs it.

1. Murphy hasnt trained in a few weeks now, and Flanno mentioned in the footy with flanno cast that murphys focus was on getting his head right. I can understand this
2. Feki only went off last weekend due to the crusher tackle. This was a free interchange that came in handy really. But i guess he was going to be hooked for barba anyway. The week before it was his knee.

Only been to Brooky once. About 87 I think. We lead by 2 at half time but got raped in 2nd half. Think ET scored our only try. Can remember the Manly crowd being complete knobs. Suppose some things never change

We could use ET about now. In fact bring back McGaw while you're at it.

The crowd at Brookvale is the central plank in the argument for closing suburban grounds afl style.

I can really see manly doing a number on us today, they are basically full strength and we are without out best player, I think we will struggle for direction

Yep today we need robbo to have a go and bird to really play a 5/8s game. We arent going to out attack this manly side. Defence and discipline is key. If we win its a game like the roosters game a few weeks back.

My prediction Manly 30 Cronulla 10.
