penalties and not being able to catch the ball from bombs killed us tonight..seriously Michael Gordon does it at least once a game...catch the ball or move into the centres and give gardner a go

was the bad game that was due to happen sooner or later. Better now than first round of the finals. Melbourne have looked **** this year as well at times, yet they clicked tonight and showed what they can do. No reason we cant do the same.

How we respond next week will tell us a lot about the character of this team, and its coaching staff.

I wouldnt go hitting the panick button just yet.

One of the worst displays I've seen from the Sharks, would have been a waste of time if I hadn't met a bunch of good blokes: Born & Bred, Snowman, vicsharkfan, dj habib, snowman just to name a few.

The sharkies owed you a committed performance after you travelled so far to see them, they gave sweet **** all, Poms had better be gone next round

There were a number of confusing things for me in this game tonight....can someone explain the modern game to me please as I don't quite understand it....?

1.Why does Robson kick the ball in the air on the fifth just high enough so that the Melbourne fullback and wingers can catch the ball without any pressure from our players, who are unable to get there in time to make it a contest?

2.Why does Robson kick for touch to wind down the clock when we are down 24-0, 28-0, and 32-0....wouldn't it make more sense to attempt to get repeat sets and perhaps score tries to even things up?

3.Why is Pomeroy playing in first grade?....(I have asked this question for four years or more)

4.Why does Pomeroy run out of the defensive line all the time and create gaps for Melbourne Storm to run through?

5.Why do the two state reps Fifita and Lewis play off the bench? Surely playing both of them from the start makes more sense? Taking them off around the 30 minute mark gives them a twenty minute rest before the second half starts and ensures a more evenly matched game?

6.After watching Lewis absolutely hammer the Queenslanders by running off the passes from Mitchell Pearce on the fringe of the ruck during State of Origin, why can't Todd Carney and Jeff Robson do the same thing for him in the game we just watched?

7.Why can't Luke Lewis play centre instead of Pomeroy? He did a good job of running the ball on the edges tonight towards the end of the game? Why wasn't this done thoughout the game and not just the last five minutes?

8.Why was Robson signed for another two years?

Help me out here fellas...I need help here - I might be a little slow to catch on but if someone explains it to me I just might be able to understand the Shark games a bit better...

Todd played worse than Jeff, but they were both terrible

No he ****ing didn't. They were both disgraceful but atleast carney tried to be creative. It's a massive problem. You pressure carney and robson falls apart as well. Not a hard formula. All robson does is tackle, shovel the ball sideways and kick poorly. Extra poorly tonight.

Can all be solved if Gordon moves to LW and Feki moves to the centres, totally getting rid of pom

Feki is not first grade quality. Never will be. Not his fault but he highlights how bare the cupboard is.

Hope you enjoy your stay and we will back up again next year.... Holy **** the boss is a little frosty I was going to just stop at the transport for 30min and stuff me 3 hours later I didn't take the kids out for dinner and now they are snarly with me. Was anyone sitting near me? Near the try line that Melbourne were scoring in second half, Beau's side?

Robson played the same he always does.

i think he played marginally worse but its not until carney plays terrible does everyone notice how **** this guy really is. It's seriously like he doesn't adapt to the game at all he will just keep pulling the same old tricks that don't work against the worst teams let alone the best teams.

I am so embarrassed atm to be a sharks fan. Robson **** off! Pomeroy **** off further!

Drop Pomeroy , give Feki a crack in the centres, bring stapo into the vacant wing.

Or

Drop Pomeroy, Gordon to centre and Gardner to fullback.

Townsend in for Robson. Give him a go with Carney. If that doesn't work carney to 7, peach to 5/8.

Just got home from the game. I had excellent seats near the top on the half way line. We played some terrible football. We didn't control the ball and our defense was terrible. Our centers were both useless. Didn"t pass when they needed, or through a stupid offload when they shouldn't have. Not to mention, defended poorly. I think our back line has to be re-structured.

I really think we should look at this for our 1-5

1. Gardaner
2. Feki
3. Beau Ryan
4. Michael Gordon
5. Stapelton/mills/wrigth

I also think that we miss Gibbs Ruck defense and Gallens D as well.

I stayed off Facebook and waited all night to watch that? We were just never able to get on a roll. We were ok in attack but our defence was just aweful. Didn't play the entire 80 minutes but did give it a go for the first 50.

First thing I noticed was the combination starting to develop between Feki and Jono. I think tonight was a big learning curb for them in attack. Look for alot more inside balls from Jono once Feki starts to wise up to what's going on.

Second was how our lack of forwards were shown no respect. Those young Storm forwards are ruthless & don't give a **** what your name is.

Would really x100 like to get Proctor. I have a feeling he is going to be the goods. He played alongside my mate in the 07 Schoolboys side with the likes of Crocker & Coote. Brad Hudson was a second rower that was the best guy in Group 7 by far!
