From RLW:
  • The lanky legs of Mick Mullane and David Hatch was the sight Raiders players couldn't come to grips with - both gave the locals the third degree despite their differing styles.
  • Mullane was a last-minute inclusion for the injured Rick Bourke, and turned in his best display of the year, scoring a hat-trick and sending the last pass in two others.
  • Hatch produced a lively attacking game yet still found time to make 39 tackles!
  • Greg Pierce was happy to see the end of a streak of six winless games.
  • What sheer delight it was to watch the likes of Rogers weaving his way through; Haddock popping up like a jack-in-the-box; Gardner and Greg Mullane steaming onto passes that Forrest delivered with copybook precision; Mick Mullane chiming in like clockwork.
  • The Sharks led 21-5 at the break, with Rogers having a hand in 3 tries.
